@Wakeupcall That is the current policy, vax or test, which hasn't been implemented everywhere yet. Biden is going to change that to vax or out tonight, but no further details are available yet.

This week I've twice I've had worker shortages prevent me from patronizing a business, one national chain and another local mom and pop. I know it is a holiday week, but I've never had anything like this happen around me and I've lived here close to a decade now. Are the workers sitting at home saying screw it? Evicted out on the street? Took a better job? Sick with covid or forced to quarantine? Sick from the "vaccine"? Dead? I have no idea. I know this is anecdotal but others on here are talking about gut feels and this is just straight up weird and giving me that feeling. Especially coupled with the BLS missing people numbers our host has presented here.

As I mentioned, all these smart people talking in the forum, surely one of them has the resources to repurpose these people.

I've offered so many people on so many different occasions everything from physical plots on my property to just "stop by and talk". It doesn't do any good.

And at the end of the day, folks need to help themselves first before expecting me to carry them. It's sort of like the adage that you can't love someone else until you love yourself first.

I am way too busy raising three children and building something for my tribe as it is. But if they wanna learn, I can teach. My way or the highway at this point.

Another way to put it because I always think in terms of science. God is under no requirement to stop the law of gravity if you jump off a 100 story building. It's an equal opportunity 9.8 m/s2.

Though I'm willing to bet that folks will be blaming God IMMEDIATELY for "allowing this to happen". And THAT is where I say, "Get the **** off my lawn."

I don't care if anyone here thinks I am goofy or retarded, but I firmly believe here collectively we are a remnant.

There's Plenty enough of people existing today that constitute a remnant. Not sure WTF happened to Israel or organized religion, but they have both been going off the path long before COVID, so screw them.

Do your part.
If you believe in God, expect Him to do His part.

Just don't expect HIM to do YOUR job for you.

Get off your ass.
Quit hand wringing.

Be circumspect.

And STAND confidently and BOLDLY.

My sister's husband died last week. In a wreck that broke 3 ribs and might have punctured a lung. The hospital treated and sent him home.

A week later, he collapsed and was taken back to the hospital. Diagnosis-- 'bad covid'. He tested positive, and the hospital treated him like crap because he was unvaxxed.

Put him in a coma, ventilated, even hung him upside down at times. My sister was adamant, 'he doesn't have covid!'

A doc finally listened, did some tests... mold. He was re-modelling a house full of mold. Too late-- died hours later.

Ivermectin might have saved him. Yet another homicide Med Inc will not have to answer to.

@Rporth, it's like other people have said - medical care these days seems to be a lot less actual care and a lot more "just do whatever the protocol is". TG's ticker about the hospitals being immune from liability if they follow CDC/NIH guidelines explains part of it for COVID, but that attitude seems to have been entrenched long before COVID (see the nonsense with statins, for example).

@Tickerguy/Karl-

Well my life is just getting more interesting by the day. I just got the medical and religious exemptions forms to fill out from my employer to try to go that route as I stall to find other jobs. I had wondered what the religious one would look since the school religious expedition form here in Virginia is just an "attest and sign with notary" single page thing.

Nope - these jackasses made there own up custom form up without using any other Virginia expedition form as guidance.....it's 4 pages. 4 Pages! And that's not all.

There are sections to fill out including:

Identification of Religious Practice
Tenants of Practice which Prevent Vaccination
Conflicts of your Beliefs with the Policy
Your organized religious affiliation or the tenets and beliefs of your religion if un-organized (in detail)
The tenets of your religion
The Basis for your anti vaccination policy of your religion
Contact people in your religion including letters from religious leaders
Have you ever got ANY vaccination for ANY illness at ANY time in your life and if so explain how that did not violate your religious tenants.

It goes on....

The VA code is very clear....the state considers religious exemptions as loose and you don't have to have all this formal stuff...I think they are cruising for a lawsuit. By the the away, on the medical accomidatoin form they not only want a doctor's not but say the must have access to ALL your health records.

HELP!!? Any advice from anyone? Especially that may be dealing with this in the DC area?

BTW - the head of HR and the Chief Counsel are leftist Aethists and self identify as such and they come across as outright Marxists.....they hate us....they WANT us out you can feel it. The jab is power to them.

Someone posted on a previous thread that there seems to be a deadline approaching which is forcing the pace on the injections.

Hypothetically, one candidate for a plausible deadline would be the moment when data showing actual harm becomes incontrovertible. In other words the control group have a better survival rate than the experimental group. Like Karl just said: 'Meanwhile there will STILL be a big enough control group (infected, recovered and refusing or just plain refusing) that WON'T have those things happen to them, and in addition that group will still be large enough to prevent a Marek's style disaster.'

Why would that matter? Simply because it would expose some very bad decisions by governments (not just the US government). And what do governments do if they face the risk that bad things they have done will be exposed? They cover up. Then they find and punish a scapegoat. Always. Everywhere.

In a nutshell, the hypothesis is that they know the whole injection thing is back-firing and what they are trying to do is cover that up by eliminating the control group. And at the same time making the control group the scapegoat ('These guys didn't take the injection, see all the harm they've caused by their selfishness? We're doing the right thing, we're making them take the shot.')

We'll know this hypothesis is correct if they turn up at Karl's place with a syringe in one hand and a gun in the other. If it doesn't happen by next Easter the hypothesis is wrong.

Exactly @Nedpuddleman - the reason to do this is to BUILD THE IRREFUTABLE PAPER TRAIL as to what they did and WHY, in a form that is legally admissible.

If and WHEN the worm turns you'll be VERY happy you have it, and REALLY PISSED OFF at yourself if you don't.

I bet United did a cost benefit analysis of how to get rid of staff. Aren't the airlines still struggling?

In the old days, business analysts would look at the economic data (and only the economic data) to figure out how next year might play out.

If I was looking out to next year and figuring how much disposable income was available from our population for vacation-flying, I'd assume that we'd see a 10% drop at least based on inflation gobbling up discretionary income. AT LEAST a 10% drop.

Another angle in my mind about United is that maybe the lack of proper law enforcement for corporate crime, and TPTB can probably control the ability of the case getting into a court for civil trial in a timely manner, maybe that is what they are also counting on.

As a person exposed to Covid up close but later tested negative (along with my wife and my other son, my daughter who spent lots of time with him at dinners while we were visiting her, and even her room mate who joined us at dinners - we all tested negative and that was the days of the high high high PCR cycle count), my personal view on whether my aging average cardio shape body can be sure to get through it is still unknown.

I have enough Ivermectin to get my entire family through one bout of Covid, within the next year after which it is past it's expiration date. That includes one dumb son who decided to get vaxxed, it is available to support his treatment, and the other one who definitely had it and is unlikely to ever show more than a cold with any of the future variants (he had his confirmed via several tests and his proximity to girlfriend who also had it and tested positive).

That they are burying treatment options as fast as they emerge just is mind boggling to me. Heck, they could easily make these treatment options more expensive if that was their need for greed. I guess treatment options (and naturally acquired immunity) don't have that cash flow semi-annuity that stockholders of the Big Pharmas like to have ongoing.

Part of Biden's claim regarding the 6 point plan is that Delta cases are rising. According to data from the 'holiest of holy' temples of Covid worship, John Hopkins, their data shows that is not the case in the US. Along with imput from Yale and Harvard's Schools of Public Health, Stanford's School of Medicine, the data shows that the R number of Delta is DECREASING in all US states with the exception of Maine and Ohio. Cases per capita is also decreasing in most states following the decreasing R#. County data within states is also listed. I'm sure KD has this data source, I've may have missed it placed on a previous posting. A lot of interesting information from this data set.

@Deep6 - Yep. The case rate has peaked and is headed downward on a national basis. HX and deaths will follow; they always do, usually "late" by a week and two weeks, respectively.

@Billhrny I can't help with the form, but it runs directly counter to EEOC guidance:

https://www.eeoc.gov/wysk/what-you-shoul....

See especially K12:

Quote:
Once an employer is on notice that an employees sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance prevents the employee from getting a COVID-19 vaccine, the employer must provide a reasonable accommodation unless it would pose an undue hardship...EEOC guidance explains that the definition of religion is broad and protects beliefs, practices, and observances with which the employer may be unfamiliar. Therefore, the employer should ordinarily assume that an employees request for religious accommodation is based on a sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance.

Good luck to everyone with the vaccine mandates. Being retired I don't have to worry about employment but I would be red hot pissed if I was in your position. Biden's speech today is going to set many people off around here and no mistake. Let the chips fall where they may and keep your rifle by your side as the song goes.

It is. But you have to submit a nice brief (devoid of such details) statement and then force them to reject it and fire you for this reason, and document it. Then you sue, and under US Code you win, because inquiry into and discrimination based on religious grounds is blatantly illegal.

@Rporth I'm NOT a doctor so definitely research it for yourself, but the vitamin D thing is complicated. Like most stuff with the human body, it's not just "this level is too high". There's a bunch of stuff that seems to matter, especially calcium levels in the blood, among other things, which can cause serious problems if not addressed. Look into K2 and vitamin A and how they help balance vitamin D and calcium levels.

Sounds like a plan.

Like the politicians like to say about changing positions on major issues, "I've had a rethinking on that issue, had a chance to take self inventory and to make a moral judgment and a personal decision during the pandemic and I believe that....(fill in the blank)"
