@Frat - Yep.

But don't kid yourself. When I got Covid-19, having read several hundred medical journal articles AND being entirely comfortable being my own doctor with a CRAZY amount of metabolic trend data stretching back DECADES you'd think I was immune to the fear megaphone.

Nope. It still creeped into my mind and I had to consciously beat it back. If I hadn't -- you wouldn't be reading this, as I would have likely drove myself to the ER and they would have killed me.

Was just watching the local fake news and it's clear that they are quadrupling down on trying to force the toxic jab on everyone. Whether this is all a planned event or not, it's also clear that everything that the scum in charge of this cluster**** have done has been the exact opposite of what should have been done. It's probably going to take death on a biblical scale to change course at this point. I'm pretty sure they are going to get it. This is going to be one for the history books, and will be studied by future generations as another holocaust that didn't need to happen. My suggestion to everyone is that you need to prepare yourselves for what is coming, especially for the family and friends that won't survive.

Our New NY Governor is in cahoots with these scumbags, she's the spitting image of the other receiver in Michigan. Cuomo had a better take on this when he resigned and was leaving masking up to districts. I can see just from a few days the skin problems from just masking alone. I ask where is the pushback?

I agree. Unfortunately, I don't think most people will make that immediate connection until it's too late.

1% of them recognizing that it really IS at that point will make things REALLY interesting.

But as Robert Heinlein once said: Most people can't think, most of the remainder won't think, and the small fraction who do think mostly can't do it very well.

But there's always hope.

For me, personally: I'm working my way DOWN the ladder as fast as I can. Not ready yet to give up all medical coverage as long as I can keep from being jabbed. But, if it comes to being jabbed or leaving the workforce, I'm out.

"If you are vaccinated and get infected you are just as likely to infect (and potentially sicken or kill) an unvaccinated person as someone who is not vaccinated."

Nice Ticker, but I'd suggest one edit to the above sentence, something to the effect "you are just as likely to infect another person, vaccinated or unvaccinated, as someone who is not vaccinated." It is clear from anecdotal evidence and the Vietnam hospital study that vaccinated people are spreading the virus to both unvaxxed and vaxxed individuals and the vaccinated believe the unvaccinated deserve to be infected for refusing the vaccine.

"Nope. It still creeped into my mind and I had to consciously beat it back" Me too. You can't absorb 30 minutes of msm without beginning to wonder, "Can it be that they are right?" We are not social beings just some of the time, and our insinct for survival tells us that it is safest to follow the herd. That is why is so satisfying, even so relaxing to find oneself now in the middle of a herd that is in touch with reality. But it is completely understandable why the rest of the world has gone mad.

As far as what can be done to beat back our tyrants. . .

I am a great believer in letters to the editor, even to your local paper in Colombia Falls. For one thing, editors are looking for copy. In fact, they are thirsty for it. Secondly, one well-written letter can be sent out to numerous papers. This is the work of half an afternoon.

Just take one chunk of what you find here, narrow it down to 150-200 words and send it off. Even if they don't run it, you may begin to change the mind of someone who has a lot of ink at his disposal. It will make a difference.

OR, you can be a passive absorber of life-saving information.

I can tell you, a strike won't be happening in my hospital system. And as you can see from my location, I'm not in some historically liberal area. Healthcare is different in that way though. The buy in for vaccination was almost 100% from the start here. Now we have assistant directors stating out loud during shifts that the "unvaccinated should be shipped to Afghanistan." Whatever that means.
Most people wore "All I want for Christmas is a Vaccine" shirts last winter. Others still have had "Vaccines For the Win" engraved on their Yetis.
If you haven't lost hope yet, I don't know what else to say.

@Microbesrus - Come fall and winter you might lose that quarter of your hospital workers to death instead, particularly if the OC43 link that appears to be showing up verifies. It's too early to know, but if it does.... oh boy, because its probably limited to that one virus.

Last time I checked going on strike is safer.

Just saying.....

Yeah @Superdude and its mostly bull****. E/O for federal agencies and contractors, which runs the risk of an instant detonation in places he won't like (e.g. VA Hospitals)

Let him do it. When it blows up in his face, and it will, it will destroy his administration and render it powerless -- if it doesn't set off a no-bull**** revolt by those coerced, which if the indications of VEI prove up this fall and winter it just might.

The employees will be denied standing and kicked to the curb.

Most judges are waking up to the fact the EO's can short circuit their little dress party, and the DOJ is not on their side.

We are heading to a dangerous place. The blue team WANTS violence. Desperately. They are planning for hit. Hoping for it. Praying to their dark god for it.

Now, they are politicians and therefore as idiotic as team red. Already, their little defund the police move has led to people asking "Why do I need the cops if they are not going to protect me?" They are doing the same for healthcare.

The most dangerous thing for a political class isn't revolution. It is when the ruled stop being ruled.

Yep @Redjack.

Already you have multiple BLUE cities where they've rescinded their vaxx mandates for certain groups of people (like the cops.) Why? They were told to **** a goat, and, having already played "defund" that means the Mayor's HOUSE is now unsafe.

These people are *******s but down the road they're walking lies some very dark things, and if they manage to go through a one-way fork in the road, and there ALWAYS are plenty of those in life, they're ****ed.

They're starting to figure that out.

It won't be long now.

What are some other 'force multiplier' type actions?

The solutions become much clearer once one comes to the realization that everything they see right now - open supermarkets, available gasoline, Kim Kardashian, NFL - will either be non-existent or seriously compromised within the next decade. Just based on mathematical trends for federal spending, federal deficits, federal debt, the average longevity of a world reserve currency, number of producers vs. consumers (the REAL wealth of a nation), etc.

Once that is grokked, then one can either choose to exist in a perpetual state of blindfolded fear, or they can begin to work together to build a decentralized, local community.

So in answer to your question: I'd learn a new, useful skill, and find other folks who complement it. I have a green thumb and I love to participate in the rhythms of nature. Folks including my wife thought I had gone off the reservation after her first battle with cancer. Not at all. I had gone "sane" and saw the rest of the world for what it is. When everything locked down, in one week I had God knows how many people stop by to ask questions about things I thought only I ever cared about. It was surreal. The second day of lockdown, my wife rolled over one morning and told me she finally understood why God had me do it. I had felt alone in my endeavors up until that point.

Find out who YOU were meant to be outside of this artificial ****-show, who God intended YOU to be, and you will be free. And it catches on.

IMHO there won't be any widespread work strike. And even if enough people had the balls, Biden and his handlers wouldn't care one bit if people were dying due to hospitals having to shut down. They'll use that 'crisis' to further demonize anybody that goes against the narrative...they're *looking* for excuses to usurp more power and they don't give one **** about laws, Constitution, or human rights.

That said...I fully support the work strike idea. I don't work in health care and I've not been infected with covid so may not have any immunity to it, but if I see proof that I'm wrong and people will grow some balls on a large enough scale then I'll join in on that.

ETA: I should add, currently there is no vax mandate of any sort at my employer. If that happens, or if they require some kind of regular testing...I'm out, they will have to fire me or I'll just go on strike. I never complied with their mask rules when they were in effect either, and won't comply with any bull**** going forward.

A couple weeks ago (after the Afghan mess) I had a thought that Biden was at a pivotal crossroads, he could start to mitigate the damage he has done to this country and go down in history as merely the worst US president ever, or he can push forward with his disastrous policies and go down in history as something far, far worse. And I say that as a person who has not spent a single day as a member of a political party.

Would also add that American workers, especially in institutions, are always aware of a fact of life that they might win the struggle with an employer but will be punished years later and severely. This attitude is spoken of openly in my community circles especially among govt workers and healthcare with actual examples being cited. Among this crowd there is an interesting interplay in a very parochial and actually parochial fashion. It is the very negative form of authoritarianism. I have written about it here before that the big city liberalism in places similar to and including NYC and DC is not some rebellious free choice thing, anti-authority, anti-religion, do as thou wilt. There is also a lot less sophistication than one would think. The people here have their petty pleasures and valueless escapades (more valueless than pleasurable), but live in a resentment based fear of authority figures and those in position in a self-reinforcing cycle. They actively seek to impose this misery on others and probably why they support the authoritarian schemes. All of their rebellion is based in resentment. Where does this go?

They do not STRIKE openly but in a beta boy and girl resentful way of the soft strike. Just try to get someone to work up to potential for a long time around here or do something right. It is a conspiracy of not giving a **** and passive aggression. In this they share something with their employers who do the same. Everyone rewards the society by things just getting worse which serves the control leaders even more as it proves how low people truly are in need of their control.

This is the essence of the liberal parochial system. It takes the fight out of people and give them passive aggression outlets and only at each other. They will then never openly do anything against the leaders as they hate the society and their neighbors too much. They even hate their families and acculturate their children towards the same path. Enter the blue state Millennial child.

Karl, i can understand the associative learning that almost successfully tempted you. Why did it occur? Simple, by studying the problem even though not a mass media consumer, there is still an unconscious programming. It is an occupational hazard. Is not human nature interesting? There is a second liability in the fear porn. It can affect the smartest people in the room too. This is why people might unconsciously fantasize about a great ADE, VEI, kill-shot effect causing an epic societal event in a few months. Not that is not a possibility, but rather that people are seeking relief, for this all to end. it is part of the natural order that the dirtbags like virtuosos engage in without conscious awareness most of them.

The way to not be taken in is to consciously do other things, including research and commentary on the problem, taking away another natural tool of the elite. This thing is the ultimate distraction consuming so many people's energy and paralyzing the most astute.

Emotional as well as intellectual distance is necessary and avoiding the temptation to keep current. Yea, tuning them out as well as the end of society as we know it themes and looking far ahead into the future. This is how my people do it.

A personal way that i deal with the panic of imminent illness and not feeling any urge to jump up and go to the hospital is to view the experience, perhaps the ultimate experience (and the last) as the most incredible exploration of the unknown that man can ever have, right here at his fingertips never to be exceeded by any advance in our society or technology. In many a situation when my body was failing or getting very dysfunctional in illness viral, bacterial or otherwise i always found it very interesting not fear inducing. It is the ultimate undiscovered country combined with the chance to say:

"Enough is enough,"

and often out of a sense of relief, not desirous worship of such an end but peace that there truly is a way out and a chance to quiet the noise while savoring the good and planning and doing for a worthwhile future for those for whom it is their chance to take the ride. The greatest gift humans have is the ability to let go and in realizing such let go of a lot of resentments, passive aggression and live to be the best in each and every day mindful of a future of others. Even the most beautiful piece of music must eventually end, and i take peace in that whatever the time or moment.

https://maggiemcneill.com/2017/11/01/tha....

Quote:
The beauty of a piece of music or a dance derives from a succession of notes or steps, each following the other in sequence and each giving way in its time to the next. The meaning of an essay, story or book depends upon each finite word in its proper place. And the meaning of not merely an individual life, but the life of a culture, a species, a world and the entire multiverse depends upon that same finiteness. Death is what gives life meaning, and fighting excessively against it is as childish and futile as the behavior of a toddler who refuses to let another child take his place on the carousel once his ride is done.

Thanks, @Traelin0. My wife and I have had similar experiences, and I see the wisdom in your advice. We started this pilgrimage based on the realization that 'this world is passing away' last year.

The 'apocalyptic' change for us was conversion to the Orthodox Church (we were protestant). This would be incomprehensible to my pre-2000 self and really a manifestation of the 'Hound of Heaven' pursuing us. There are other things we are working on as well--all of which may be characterized as Dreher's Benedict Option. I think the most important things are in this order: 1) pick up our Cross and follow the Logos, 2) build relationships with like-minded folks, 3) create and practice new skills (buying stuff off Spamazon and sticking it in the closet is no security). We weren't promised peace and prosperity in this world. "narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

I just read that a likely dementia-ridden Biden proposal will be to require jabs for all federal contractors.

The federal government does not do anything. ALL of the work, except for some war fighting, is done by contractors.

This country is destroying itself from within. It is hard to care any more.

Time to withdraw and form our own communities of like minded people.

We are so divided that there won't be a strike. The major reason being that people's financial houses are not in order. And I really do think that some people welcome just that bit more tyranny into their lives; actually crave it. Would that we were all financially independent. But then again, who is? When even General Flynn's credit cards were cancelled, what can the little person do? Even if we could live off of one salary, who's to say that further down the line, our mortgage lender, as an example, would ask to see our vaccine cards; and if we didn't have, deny us our mortgage? As an aside, if TPTB demand these vaccine certificates, then Voter ID is so on the table, too.

So far, I am unvaxed. My employer is actually really cool with it. But I have already been denied entry to one think tank's building because of my status. The question for me is how long my employer tolerate this situation.

What percentage of the population has natural immunity not to due infection, just innate?

I've thought I read that you believe it could be anywhere from 50% to 80% of the population. If this is true and you add 25% that are naturally immune from infection then at least 75% of the population is now naturally immune from this virus. We are or very near herd immunity if that is the case and we shouldn't be seeing cases increasing unless the "vaccines" are causing immune systems to deteriorate.
