We haven't been serious about illegal immigration since the 1986 amnesty.

And I don't think anyone really cares that much about it anymore. Too distracted by the Covid situation.

You can still move to parts of the USA that haven't been overrun by Illegals, but it's a lot harder to move away from a jab mandate if nearly all employers start to require it.

O/t but.... what the hell...

Karl... I have to wonder, your thoughts on Biden and his six mandates, not least the 100+ employer vax rule.

Incredible times in... the twilight zone.

Its the most radical anti constitutional, godless, anti capitalistic administration I have ever seen.

Evil is the only word for me as how to describe it.

God help us.

Pols have figured out that it is a lot more politically advantageous to talk about solving a problem than actually acting to solve it. Same as it ever was...

one wonders how they would figure a way around such a money transfer block. These people have insane amounts of cash given how they are usually paid.

Perhaps some sort of COD system would be created. Or, simply using parcel services to send cash home. can't check it all.

The real way to end it is severe penalty for employers, and for states and localities to be forced to stop providing federal welfare and govt services to them.

Yep.

100% E-verify, which Trump could have implemented via E/O (perfectly legal in his rule in the executive) on an emergency basis, and followed up with proper notice under the APA, would have slammed the door on it quite well.

The penalties for knowingly employing illegal workers are extremely stiff to start with but have to be prosecuted. If you have 100% E-Verify use required without exceptions then by definition you either that the control number for the transaction on that or you will lose on the question of intent, and into the clink you go.

our military on the border with live ammunition and orders to shoot anything on two legs that crosses

I always preferred machine-gun nests - it let's fewer guys cover more of the border.

I also want video of the target zones, with live broadcast and continuous re-runs. None of this "viewer discretioon advised" bullsh!t, just show everybody how a real country defends its borders.
