Nurse shortages in California reaching crisis point

The states new vaccine mandate for health care workers is already causing headaches for understaffed hospitals before it is even implemented. Some traveling nurses who are in high demand nationwide are turning down California assignments because they dont want to get vaccinated.

As far as I am concerned, the COVID dumpster fire can't fail fast enough. Many people have been harmed in ways that cannot be undone/ remedied. Those who have died from lack of early appropriate medical treatment are gone. Others have lost businesses and have been placed in financial ruin. There has been a significant uptick in depression, suicides, alcoholism and drug abuse and domestic violence. The kids lost an entire year of school. Unfortunately, the trail of damage continues as the madness has not yet ceased in many parts of the country.

My job just told the remote workers "WE aren't ready to have you come back to work." So what was supposed to be September 7th is now early January.

Not sure who we is. I have been showing up to work for the entire time at 3 different jobs in 2 different cities. Can't fix equipment from a recliner with a bowl of spaghettio's and another of pot.
sarc Thankfully our managers and HR staff are protected at home so if the pandemic actually reaches the workers they can manage and HR our products out the door./sarc

This is the same place that relaxed the rules for the unvaxxed so now I have a bigger chance to get infected because they don't have to report exposure or quarantine. Even though they are more likely to carry a higher viral load and not show symptoms. I 100% expect a vaxx mandate from these chowderheads.

In short the USSC has, on a consistent basis over the last hundred years, ruled that what you choose in terms of personal risk as a consenting adult is nobody else's damned business and absent hard, scientific proof that someone else is harmed you are on extremely thin ice legally with an attempt to discriminate on any such basis. The legal record is very clear in this regard; that which used to be able to be proscribed 100 years ago as "immoral" or "dangerous" for a particular person has been repeatedly and almost without exception greatly narrowed as the USSC has considered various cases before it.

Yes, however one thing remains of which i warned people many years ago.

One has the right to do whatever he wishes with his body involving no non-consenting others, correct?

Why then do we require employer provided healthcare to not surcharge for known risky behavior and conditions? Why cannot employment be refused for risk factors which are able to be documented? Why does my body, which represents a lower financial risk as documented, have to be taxed in its labor as well as any organization in which it works indirectly costing it by others spreading their risk to the greater whole?

We allow past claims history, credit ratings and all other behavioral metrics to determine insurable risk and policy premiums for auto, home and other liability insurances as well as many other things. I am sure that it is even possible to correlate and validate credit rating and certain claims history with predicted health outcomes and future expenses.

Why is the Medicare premium the same for everyone, as people age differently by living differently by choice.

I will never again provide employer health coverage and will not work for some entity again so that i can subsidize other people's behavior. Similar logic to requiring everyone to take a vexxine to protect others, no?

Healthcare becoming a right i predicted would take away major components of our personal rights. Once everyone is expecting a standard of societal care, they expect the society to meet certain standards. It is a universalist mentality.

Let's make it clear. If anyone documented to being overweight, type II diabetic or any other health condition claims history experiences triple if not higher premiums for coverage in the insurance market employer or otherwise, there would not have been a COVID crisis. The market signals would have forced the society to be honest regarding risk factors a long time ago. Those who would bear their own expenses would be no different than those who do not make auto or homeowners insurance claims, addressing things themselves. They might be under the radar but would get their own education in reality. In the end it would all work out in that wonder of human individual decisions and consequences. And, cost would go way down as results would be the prime variable.

Collectivist schemes under which we live force people to take as much as possible from the system and then ultimately each other as one size must fit all. No one individual can be forced to find himself outside of the protection of the crowd. This is crowdism, where individuals hide their bad decisions in the quiet and sometimes not so quiet riot.

The person refusing the collective vexxine shines a light on them highlighting their mistakes, risks and weaknesses.

Yes, the male homosexual and IV drug abusing community got screwed by Fauci Scam I, however they could not see their real selves in the mirror and had to further the claim that the entire society was at risk and must modify to protect them which included proposed, evil schemes like vaccines and society restrictions. See, the at risk population mentioned in this paragraph was not victimized by Fauci Scam I, they invited it by hiding in the crowd right to spread their risk to each and every one of their fellow citizens socially and economically. The fat slobs learned from them along with the expected set overlap.

If no one person is responsible for his actions, then everyone gets to be responsible and suffer the collective consequences and edicts.

Fauci is a vampire. In the lore of the species, he must be invited in and cannot force his way.

People got to like just a little socialism: Medicare, non-discriminatory employer and market healthcare premiums, universal healthcare. When it was affordable, they were happy not realizing that being unaccountable gave away their freedom to associate and avoid. Never say yes to that little taste ...

I'm currently under threat of mandate by my employer. I filed for an exemption based on the fact that I have had Covid, recovered, and would not benefit from the therapeutic. I am waiting to hear the response. That was supposed to come yesterday.

They sent me an email stating that they needed more time. I work for a very large, publicly traded company. I'm betting the delay is because they are overwhelmed with requests. I'm also betting that many, like me, will take a year off work before they bend the knee/bend over.

I have skills, training and certifications that are in short supply. So do many others. The entities playing this game have not though it through.

I'm almost looking forward to a denial of my exemption. I've been thinking about what I'd do with the time off, and it feels good. That's because it feels like what it is: Freedom.

I recently read several obvious hit pieces written against Ivermectin where the author(s) condescendingly referred to Ivermectin as a horse de-wormer. After reading the studies of Ivermectin's promising uses against various viruses and for other medical purposes, I began wondering what would have happened had there been articles referring to Alexander Fleming's discovery as a bread mold killer and a resulting lack of interest in pursuing the potential for penicillin. The journalistic *****s denigrating Ivermectin are earning their 30 pieces of silver.
A classmate who is still in practice got the Pfizerjabs after I had mentioned Ivermectin's potential for treating covid. After getting Covid, I treated myself with the regimen used in Bangladesh and stayed out of the clutches of the hospital/medical/pharmaceutical extortion racket. Now that I have natural immunity, I still have people encouraging me to get the jab. The friend still in practice tried the vaccine passport persuasion argument on me. He asked, what if you want to travel? There's no place outside the USA now where I want to go and I can get to anywhere in the lower 48 in 2 days in my Toyota. As far as any businesses requiring any proof of vaccination to patronize them, I likely don't need what they're selling; I will happily pass them by and wave when they put up their going out of business signs. Were I to see any vaccine promoter on fire and writhing in agony, I wouldn't urinate on them to extinguish the flames.
I am glad that I found some sanity on this and a few other sites. I feel sorry for those who act on fear and emotion rather than reason.

@notleftjeff While employers can make rules that treat people differently, when they do so based on medical status they're getting into dangerous territory. If you characterize unvaccinated status as a disability (which the EEOC says should be defined expansively), then it's criminal. If you have a religious objection and are thus unable to be vaccinated, then you could definitely characterize it as a disability.

That's the meta right now. The narrative. All over the dual medias (msm and social)

"He's taking the horse pills"

"It's used for parasites in humans, it's not approved for covid."

"There are no scientific studies at all that show it's effective for covid."

<b>The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that bodily autonomy is sacrosanct. </b>

So? That means nothing since they can easily come up with yet another "Penaltax" dodge and then what are you going to do? Appeal to the Legislature? To the <i>Executive</i>?

<b>If your boss mandates jabs he is a bigot exactly as is someone who plays "God Hates Fags."</b>

So another variant of DR3? This is definitely the one that will break their stranglehold on all of the country's major institutions and a lot of the minor ones.

<b>That should and indeed must be the end of all discussion of "mandates" and if it isn't then may every entity issuing such a mandate along with all of their directors, officers and managers be destroyed, both corporately and personally</b>

Again, by whom? By the government which has clearly demonstrated it's on the side of darkness, irrespective of what its own expert might say in "Science Updates"? The great mass of the population that meekly accepted utterly useless masking? "IT IS THE WORSTEST PANDEMIC EVER, DONCHANO!?!" is an argument a great many retards have injected into their feeble minds and accepted as truth incontrovertible, and any excesses in such a time of "UNPRECEDENTED CATASTROPHE!!!!" will be quickly and quietly be recast or simply ignored. Besides, most of the victims were the domestic equivalent of the Taliban anyhow, they deserve whatever they get.

Sounds to me @Prof_dilligaf, that you want someone else to do that which you are too much of a pussy to do yourself.

Guess what that sort of expression of opinion tends to cause to happen around here?

Care to re-think your position?

PS: Read the "limited HTML" click-list if you'd like to actually format replies here. It does require a bit of attention, but I'd think a "professor" can read at a sufficient level to be able to handle that.

Yesterday I about a 10-year-old in one of the most locked-down states who committed suicide. A 10-year-old.

One child psychiatrist -- I think it was Mark McDonald -- talked about a formerly fun-loving healthy teenager who, when lockdown was finally lifted, wouldn't leave the house. "He'd lost the will to live. He'd forgotten HOW."

A recent study found that children born since March 2020 have 25% lower cognitive ability than normal.

The Evil Ones figured out how to break human beings. Picture a beautiful, handpainted porcelain doll, violently thrown down onto a concrete floor, shattered into so many pieces it can never be put back together again. That's what the Evil Ones have done to us.

Their delight in doing this even to children is what really gives me a visceral desire to see every single one of them hang. Oh yes, I know that hanging is way too good for them. But I'm trying to not give them the victory of turning me into as ugly and horrible a creature as they are.

I am deliberately blowing off all these mandate signs.
When questioned by the local shop keepers, i honestly claim that I do not own a mask. Ironically at the grocery store, the cashier presented me a mask to wear and demanded that i wear it before I could make my purchase. Luckily with some jedi mind tricks to keep her talking, i was able to complete my transaction and walk out the door, leaving her mask offering at the counter.

Then this afternoon, the hostess of a restaurant would not let the wife and i walk literally 5 feet to the bar stool without wearing a mask; which i was allowed to remove one seated. I had to politely tell the hostess she must of failed physics. Unfortunately she stated it was a city mandate that she would get fined if she did not force said policy.

Fast forward 1 hour and the owner of a microbrew i am at is flipping the virtual bird to said mask policies. This place is getting all my business today.

I find myself envious of Russians, who at least have a president who's intelligent, hates the Soros-Gates-Schwab cabal, and fiercely loves his own country.

We all have our little escapist entertainments. Some people drink, some play video games, some watch Clint Eastwood movies. Me, I like watching Putin videos.

Go ahead, have at me. No apologies. The more I learn about the CIA, the Establishment, and our media, the more I am convinced that much of what they've been telling us about Putin is about as truthful as what they've been telling us about Covid.

The mainstream medical profession is damned and determined to lose every single shred of remaining credibility.

Is this what we have come to? The MDs promote death protocol and your best chance of living is veterinary medicine.

Have you read Ann Barnhardt's stuff on diabolical narcissists? She says that what you describe is the real payoff for diabolical narcissists (DNs). Just doing evil and getting away with it starts to lose its thrill for the DN. The next level of thrill is to do evil and get away with it, WITH EVERYBODY WATCHING, everybody knowingly LETTING you get away with it.

The DNs love to RUB OUR NOSES IN THEIR ****. That's what they live for.

My employer has established a no mask policy if your are vaccinated. Since I am a COVID survivor I explained I have COVID antibodies and I do not need to be jabbed with an untested "vaccine" that is actually a therapeutic. I have also informed them there has never been a successful Sars 2 vaccine ever produced. Why isn't there a vaccine for the common cold which is a SARS virus?

I have refused to wear the mask in the office. Company policy says I don't need it in my office, but in the public areas. I am not wearing it at all when I am there.

I have sent them a number of articles and studies from NIH, Israel, and other medical institutions like the Cleveland Clinic saying natural immunity is present in those who have been infected and survived COVID. The response were are going by CDC recommendations. I said the CDC has been wrong and changed their policies so many times. how can you be sure they are correct on this policy that denies over 100 years of scientific study of natural immunity?

I haven't received an answer yet, but the next set of studies and papers are being sent this coming week.

Now for something off topic. The reason the COVID rules and regs are so ludicrous is we are dealing with either mentally ill people, people with no morals, and/or those who are just completely delusional (which may come under mental illness). These idiots are pushing arguments that are so far fetched they actually believe their own lies. Just like COVID the white supremacy drivel is just as wacky. The link to the article below makes my point:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/white-....

They actually make the case for class warfare or supremacy vs race supremacy. Countries where there are very few or basically a single race have similar problems. The discrimination has nothing to do with race but class. We used to call it "living on the wrong side of the tracks". They seem happy the white race will be over an done with. Isn't that special.

We are dealing with really mentally sick individuals. Delusion is the drug of today or their favorite drugs are making them delusional. When the reckoning comes, it will be interesting to the conflict and resolution.
