This one, of course.....
Yeah, parody, but funnier than Hell.
And likely to repeat, of course not with Boehner.
Afghanistan, surprisingly enough.
There are very few Americans who are going to sit back on either side of the aisle and ignore what's happened over there. Election season starts in about six to nine months and the wounds will still be raw. Family members of those killed in the last days will be making the rounds on campaign stops and laying forth assurance that the public will not forget.
The most-serious bits of stupidity are the abandonment of our high-secure base (Bagram Airfield) and the abandonment -- not destruction -- of insane amounts of US equipment. The rifles and such are one thing, but the abandonment of communications equipment and advanced weaponry is utterly nuts. We didn't have that taken from us by being overrun -- we literally abandoned it on the ground and gave it to the Taliban, who are now using it.
I don't know about you but handing a bunch of nutjobs Apache choppers looks to me to be actual treason. Not the sort often bandied about on the Internet, the real deal. We're talking material aid and comfort given to a sworn enemy of the United States with which we are in actual armed conflict.
Yeah, we were withdrawing. So what? We had a duty to either get that material out of there or destroy it. Sometimes you have to destroy what you can't take with you and, sadly, if overrun you often have no choice at all, but deliberately abandoning it so the enemy can have it is not one of the valid choices.
Do not ever forget, my friends that the Joint Chiefs were, in many cases, installed by Trump. He bears equal responsibility in that his people were involved in this. Yes, Biden gets the blame in chief but so do those in the House and Senate who did not in the past move to impeach and eject these individuals.
It is thus entirely fair for the American public to hold accountable those who have had control of the US House since 2018. I remind you that their impeachment efforts were aimed at Trump -- twice. Not once did they go after the social justice warriors who were emplaced in the upper echelons of our military commands and who favored such thing as "inclusion" over competence and making damned sure that we did not hand billions of dollars of high-tech weaponry to an enemy of the United States.
Elections have consequences folks. I get it that there were plenty of people who hated Trump with a white-hot passion, and not entirely without cause. Mr. Showman was just as culpable in not coming in and firing all the SJW members of the upper echelons in the military, and on the facts he was horrifically bad in terms of selection of those who worked for him as President. But that's water over the dam, and further, Biden had eight months to correct those errors and not only didn't, in the context of the military he doubled down on them as did Speaker Pelosi, Schumer and countless other Democrats in both the House and Senate.
So be it; let the retribution begin.
