The Crazy Is Ending, Even Though Some Want It To Stay

There are people I consider quite-sane who are very convinced the "world" is going to require "vaccine passports" and that we better all get on board and fight it now (how, by the way, other than saying "go screw goats" -- or are those folks proposing something rather violent?)

You're all nuts.

That doesn't mean some people won't try it.  Sure they will.  Like a condo board; "show us your papers or wear a mask!"

My answer: Tell them to go blow a goat and, if they try to fine you, sue them in both their corporate and personal capacities.

Why?

Because they'll lose, that's why.  The mental (and legal) gymnastics of attempting to create a "two-tier" ownership structure retroactively years after you bought the place would be worth the price of the lawsuit all on its own.  Not even a vote of the owners likely blunts this as that simply gets all who vote for it sued in their individual capacities.  You didn't buy into a two-tier society and there's no force of law behind this sort of thing so there you have it.

A purely-private business?  Consider suing them too; the ADA prohibits this sort of thing if it can reasonably be considered a disability, which, by the way, it is as soon as they start labeling people.  But frankly, the better option unless you just want to stick it in their ass is to take your business somewhere else.  Make it hurt immediately as I've done with places that have been MaskHoles since this whole thing started.  You want to order me to leave because I won't show you a card or wear a mask, that's fine.  See this nice cart full of stuff?  It isn't getting bought; your competitor who has a brain will get the business instead.  Ball game?  Don't need it.  Concert?  Ditto.  Go ahead, play the game and we'll see how it works out.  My bet is you wind up in bankruptcy court.

Employers?  We'll see there too.  I think there's a legal problem there too (and already lawsuits are starting), but frankly, given how tight the labor market is screw them tooif they pull that crap get another job and quit the old one.  Around here anyone who seriously attempted that could be trivially emptied of employees and it wouldn't even dent the Help Wanted signs.  It's easier to tell an employer to blow goats than suing them and you can probably get a raise out of it.  What's not to like?

Colleges?  If you're already in the program then definitely sue them.  Your course book from the date you matriculated is a contract.  No, they can't say "well stay remote" either; that wasn't what you both agreed to.  Contracts, once entered into, bind both sides.  Now if they want to refund all of your money paid thus far, ok, that's a reasonable settlement of your differences.  Transfer out and take the cash to pay for the rest of your schooling somewhere sane.  All good.  We have some very fine universities here and in Florida where such measures are banned.  We're not alone either.  If you were intending to enter college this fall change where you go and tell them why.  Make it hurt, in short -- right in their bank account.  If you're one of those snowflakes who insists on this place or that, well, that's on you.  I can't help it if you're either stupid or smitten but I can hold it against you later on when you try to get a job.

No, the problem that will force the end of this part of the Covid stupidity is this:

There are multiple states that have banned all these things either by Executive Order or Act of the Legislature and thus there will be a control group.  Even employer mandates in such states are likely illegal as employment at-will does not extend to firing you in violation of public policy, which the state has set either through E/O or legislation.

There's an election coming up in a year and change too.

And do remember: All, and I do mean all, of the doom predictions for Florida and Texas when they dropped their mask and capacity mandates didn't play out.  In fact, exactly the opposite; Florida and Texas both outperformed the mandate-keeping states.

The mask and capacity mandates didn't play out because masks never worked.  We knew that decades ago.  We know that viruses are transmitted in aerosols, that emitted breath has an inverse-log distribution for particle size which means there are thousands of times more aerosol particles than droplets, that the aerosols are not filtered by anything less than an N95 and that only on inhalation, as when you exhale the pressure pushes it away from your face and creates gaps.  I pointed all of this out in the summer of 2020 on a repeated basis and it's not about what I think or what some so-called computer model says it's physics.  In fact the particle distribution is a lot like smoke (e.g. cigarettes, etc.) which is why nobody in their right mind thinks you can wear an N95 to fight a fire; you strap on a SCBA pack and bring clean air with you.  It's also why "filtered" cigarettes, which incidentally have a hell of a lot more depth to their filter than a mask does, do not stop you from getting lung cancer.  In short if you can smell what someone emits beyond whatever "mitigation" might be in use by a potential source you can be infected.

Now we have the same basic problem -- flat-out stupidity -- show up with the "next step" -- the stabs.  Yes, for some people it's worthwhile.  Clearly.  If you're at high risk from Covid, just as with the flu, they probably pencil out on the balance between risks and benefits.

But the idea of a "passport" is that they protect someone else who also has been stabbed because by definition the imposition of one in a given place means everyone in your vicinity has had the jab.  Think about how stupid that is for a minute and it should instantly become clear.  When it comes to health care environments since adults can all choose and have been able to for months (including patients) where's the problem?  Simply put such a measure is nothing more or less than a demand for control, particularly as the people doing it do not recognize natural immunity.  The correct response to that is "**** you" in each and every case.

nation can make an argument for it, as they can with conditions on entry into their country for anything else.  Why?  Because you might bring something in that their people are not immune to.  They may not be able to access a vaccine, or they may be at some other sort of risk you're not.  Nations make rules all the time for entry and that's one of the realities of being a sovereign; if some nation wants to ban people from entry if they have green hair, are gay or have only one functional eye they can do that; the constraint does not have to be logical and there is no right under International Law, as a non-citizen of that nation, to enter or remain in another country.  Businesses and other places within a nation aren't nations.  Indeed, states are explicitly prohibited from doing this sort of thing for travel between them; Congress has the sole power to regulate interstate commerce under the Constitution.

In the US anyone who wants a jab can get it at this point.  So what's the point of a "passport" where everyone has to have had it?  There is no point to it at all.  If you make no exceptions (which by the way the ADA requires if your business accommodates the public) then by simple logic there is no point because everyone has had the shot and therefore there is nobody to be protected who isn't already protected to whatever extent the protection works.

In other words the logic is stupid and cannot possibly prevent anyone other than someone who chooses to accept the risk of infection from taking said risk.  But wait -- this place "prohibits" entry without one, that one doesn't.

Thus said risk accepting person is still going to accept the risk and there's nothing you can do about it.  Suck it up, buttercup.

All such a "passport" establishes is that the person imposing it is a Nazi; they believe they have the right to dictate medical procedures to be imposed on others.  That's flat-out Josef Mengele garbage.

I thought we got rid of that crap after WWII?

If you don't believe the shot works then why did you take it?  If you believe you have the right to be protected without taking the risk of the jab yourself then we've established what you are -- you're one of those snowflakes who thinks you have to own other people in total.  Never mind that since you refused it yourself you can't go into the venue or other place anyway so in that case the so-called "passport" is worthless to you since you won't have one.

But if you do believe the shot will protect you why do you care if someone else has it or not?  Why do you care if they wear a mask or not?  If they get sick that's their problem, not yours -- right?

Contemplate this: There is no logic behind such, nor any epidemiological argument for it either.  It will not stop a single person from getting infected who chooses to accept the risk of being infected nor will it stop a single person who took the stab and had it work from getting it because they're immune.  Further, if there are people who took the stab and got no or an inferior response from it mandates like this actually raise the risk that they'll be exposed and get sick because you can still get the virus but the odds go up that your infection will be entirely asymptomatic.  While asymptomatic transmission is rare it happens and not knowing you have something means you won't stay home, where if feel sick you probably will.

People always love to point to those who "can't" be vaccinated for this reason or that but that's stupid too because the same applies to someone who's got leukemia yet we haven't demanded flu vaccine cards from everyone to go to the store, ball game or similar every single year and there are a whole bunch of people who get cancer each and every year.  An infection during their treatment could easily kill them and they know it.  They take precautions during their illness; they don't expect you to do so for that which is unique to them.

All of this will collapse as it will prove stupid in the next few months or, perhaps, it'll be much worse than just a collapse.

Contemplate what else is coming out.  Someone FOIA'd Fauci's emails.  There are some real stunners in there, including an apparent congratulations on Fauci cock-blocking the Wuhan Lab leak hypothesis.  If that's not a smoking gun please explain what might be.  Another contains Fauci being reasonably sure the virus is in aerosols (duh) which, of course, means masks are worthless.  Still another has Fauci recommending mask wearing be voluntary; this is in April of 2020.  There are also some rather, uh, coincidental sequences in the virus and a patent.  And then there's the weak sauce out of Vietnam with yet another scarient game that is being attempted.

Meh.  As I pointed out in this article there's never been a respiratory pandemic that has more than two waves and lasts more than two years.  Might this one be the one?  Sure.  And the dollar may collapse tomorrow too, but I wouldn't take the bet.

If there is no widespread intermediate and longer-term very bad outcomes from the jabs then the screaming will just collapse.  By the end of the year it will be clear to everyone: Whatever curve we have in states where some places have imposed such a mandate, the states that have absolutely banned them such as Florida will do no worse.  Indeed the very real probability, from the data back to December, is that Covid was over and other than the very high-risk persons who got a personal (and large) benefit there was never a reason to roll these things out in the first place because there was never going to be a second big surge next winter.  History says this is the most-probable when you look at other respiratory virus pandemics through time; they become endemic and never manage to get through more than two winter seasons.

In other words you put up with it and walked around preening about your magic shot in terms of impact on society as a whole for exactly nothing, and the data will conclusively demonstrate this by the end of 2021.  Yes, you may get personal benefit from being jabbed -- but it's yours, just as it is with the measles shot which anyone with a brain chooses to take because the data there is clear and convincing: That vaccine is much safer, by a factor of a hundred or more, than the measles.  With this one we do not yet know.

The long knives will come out for the politicians and business people who imposed mandates at that point, just as Texas and Florida essentially forced the drop of all the capacity limits and mask mandates everywhere else after the repeated wait two weeks mewling turned into a continued cliff-dive in cases, hospitalizations and deaths.  Not one of the projected claims of doom played out at all.

Why the long knives?  Because businesses will have turned away customers and possibly permanently pissed off some percentage of the population who live there that refused to go along.  The loss will be for absolutely nothing, it will result in bankruptcies and if you think the political blowback from that won't be meaningful you're dead wrong.  It will be and it will be serious too.  Tell me why, once again, all those other states magically dropped mandates after the Texas prediction turned out to be garbage?  Uh huh.

The worse scenario is that there are one or more serious intermediate and long-term risks that start getting people who took these jabs at a rate that they cannot be suppressed.  That's the risk of "Warp Speed" and ignoring or even burying therapeutics in order to rush these shots out to the public.  That appears to already be happening in terms of short-term effects -- plenty of people are winding up dead or in the hospital hours or days after being jabbed.  The CDC continues to claim there's "no connection" but that's crap and anyone with a brain in their head knows it. Indeed even the CDC is trying to slowly and carefully walk that back.  They can't quantify the risk right now just like I can't, but they know it's there.  The unanswered question is all about relative risk.

If those who did this on their own without coercion get hit by nasty long-term side effects, well, that sucks but it was a free choice to take the jab before the long-term data was in and we could all see it.  It is not my place to tell people what to do and I suspect that when all is said and done the people will pretty-much see it that way.  They may get very angry with politicians and socialites who "urged" they do it, but in the end the data was there, people like myself did publish it, it wasn't hard to find and if you decided not to look or wrote everyone talking about it off as kooks it's your fault and your consequence.

In those places that coerced the jabs, however, it could be a very different story.  Permanent injuries or death in those groups may not stop with someone saying well, he was stupid and while it sucks Jack is (dead/blind/paralyzed/had to have a heart transplant) but he decided the attitude may well be "You bastard (politician, employer, sports venue, whoever) forced him to do this and thus you killed or disabled him."

The sane will not take that bet because there's no way to handicap it at present and once made you can't take it back.  If someone is disabled or dies you could well be held personally accountable whether through legal means or foul, and whatever justification you might have been able to point to for doing it is going to go "poof" by the end of the year just like the mask and capacity limit garbage did.  It's one thing to cause a bunch of bankruptcies in your city, it's quite-another if people die as a direct result of your policies.  There are already plenty of politicians who don't sleep well at night as a result of what they did with nursing homes.  How would you like to be the business owner who gets to join them forevermore in sleepless nights when one of your 25 year old employees that runs marathons drops over dead from a heart attack?

Simply put you have multiple states that are not going to go along with enabling this garbage and thus there is, and will be, a control group you cannot get rid of.  Thus the "urging", which as of July 1st will fail as Florida as of that date absolutely bans such requirements with $5,000 fines per-person coerced -- including in the private sector.

Now add to that the supply disruptions, high inflation, housing shortage, all the people who get hosed when the rent moratorium ends, apparent email evidence of Fauci and others conspiring with a CCP-run facility to cover up what happened and roughly 300,000 of the 500,000 dead Americans were essentially slaughtered for profit.  From where I sit you've got a truly explosive combination stuffed in that shack.  In fact, it sort of looks like this I think:

Place your bets condo associations, businesses, cruise lines, airlines, baseball parks and other venues.

Once those chips go in you can't take them back out and coercing someone who was willing to accept the person risk of infection, if it turns out badly and proof develops that your mandate did nothing, is not going to turn out well for you.

I'm predicting those on the other side of this are going to lose.

My bet's made; feel free to place yours.

Had a co worker ask me about the jabs yesterday..she knows I won't take them and that I've been against all of these mandates from day 1. She said her husband got his 2nd jab.. almost immediately had to be rushed to the hospital with extremely high blood pressure. Seems to be ok now but she now says she's scared to death to get her 2nd jab, sounded like she won't be getting it.

At least in the area I'm in (even though it's a crazy blue run state) there hasn't been any talk of passports or mandatory vaccinations. That could change but I doubt it... pretty far out in "red" country.

I've rehearsed my plan of action if my employer requires the vaccination. I don't expect it to happen, but I am ready if it does. I live in a blue state so it won't be prohibited.

I admit to nothing, force them to let me go, get the reason in writing, and walk out the door. No notice. No turnover of my projects. Nothing. Then I sell my house, lock in these ridiculous gains, and move to a red state that has banned this crap.

No more shoveling snow...

The kookiest justification for getting the vax: if I use the paper card, I'm helping because THEY won't require electronic passports.

Uh huh, way to undermine your premise with action.

Whitehat is correct--one chooses crazy because one is crazy.

That guy in the office next to you--crazy. Fear induced insanity. When we started questioning and denying basic highschool biology level science all bets were off and no amount of logic or reason (thank you Karl) is going to help that ( which itself may be crazy at this point).

Mania always ends the same whether its tulip bulbs, stock market speculation, or magical thinking.

I have long envied the free states, and I will continue to be jealous of their freedom. I also think you underestimate the level of stupid for many of the leftist states. They truly think they are saving lives, but they are really just continuing to make their states over regulated (and corrupt) **** holes.

I'll still be required to get tested within 72 hours of traveling to Hawaii. They are even devising updates to their "pre-clear" (pseudo-vaccine passports) and eventually full (unambiguous) vaccine passport schemes for inter-island travel and trans-Pacific travel.

The Fauci FOIA emails are the gift that keeps on giving. They remind me of a modern version of the Nixon tapes. So for history to truly rhyme, they should feature prominently in at least Congressional hearings. If we did the right thing anymore, they'd feature in grand jury proceeding and then a likely criminal trial.

coworkers (the couple I think infected me :) ) went and got their first Pfizer jab yesterday. I told them there was no need...they've had the virus. One is diabetic and did go to emergency room when he had real trouble breathing, but they released him a few hours later once stabilized.

These are "smart" people, but the one thing they said is you'll need a shot before you can go to certain places...I told them that will never happen. The news and other BS is brainwashing everyone around me/us. It's nuts.

With what has come out in the FOIA is going to rip through the "public health" and "infectious disease" field like an EF-5 long-track tornado.

It's out in the open now and there's nothing they can do about it.

Some of these blue states are still requiring masks in schools. The teachers have all had a chance to be vaccinated, and as Karl has shown, the kids have a higher risk from chicken pox. It's literally insane. My sister has been hounding the school committee and school officials to no avail. Parents are now motivated to run some candidates for the school committee next time around. The teachers unions are losing a lot of people who quietly tolerated them.

Another great one Karl! Sounds like we're in "Burnin' Down The House" mode, with hope we'll be in "Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Watcha Gonna Do When They Come For You" stages soon. I know I was a somewhat crazy SOB in my twenties, joining the local volunteer FD. Assists and training with the Navy Base were always fun, especially for air shows (God Bless all military keeping us safe and those who gave all).

When I started we were using Scott SCBA with "On Demand" air. Breathe in creating a vacuum, the regulator provided air into the mask. Studies (and dying firefighters) soon proved that 'vacuum' part without good face seal sucked in all the carcinogens and ethyl methyl bad s&!t. Thereafter all SCBA was "Positive Pressure" in the facemask, though you could still feel the mask pull in while breathing heavy. Fit testing for masks became an annual ritual.

Swine & H1N1 flu, then Ricin, Anthrax & white powder hoaxes came along. We were fit tested and issued N95 masks at some point, but SCBA was typically the safe choice unless working with patients possibly contagious in the ambulance. We also ran a haz-mat decon unit with up to level A fully encapsulated suits.

So Karl is right on with the loose fabric of masks creating gaps under pressure and not sealing when you breathe in. Our Gov finally opened indoor capacity to 100%, but is still holding mask mandate to the 28th or 70% adults vaccinated. In our highly populated county next to Brotherly Love, we dropped into the teens for new Covid cases. And vaccinations peaked April 1st at 83k partial jabs, then fell like a rock to 700 partial jabs May 31st. June 28, here we come. Though a visit to a big box store this past weekend I can confirm 50% maskless or down under their chin, people have had enough.

Forcing certain categories of citizens into separate, lesser accommodations, barring them from public places, treating them like lepers or untouchables that was completely immoral and wrong, we were told that a lot and most of us strongly agreed. Now ee have Moderna warning of an upcoming wave of the mutated virus that will likely evade the jab. Or is it ADE and other spike protein effects they are trying to hide as variants? Note how they are saying the jab wont last and new variants may evade the vacc.

Of course they are @Erroldo -- they created the virus.

No, really. Maybe not intentionally, but it appears their patent was ripped off by the Chinese, whether with their consent and inside knowledge or not.

PS: Natural infection is not evaded. If you're at low risk then take the infection and immediately treat it. If you were infected and take the jab you may actually destroy your naturally-acquired immunity. That would be.... bad.

Well speaking of crazy and schools. A client's daughter (20s) is employed by the Fairfax County schools as a room monitor in one of the local high schools. I couldn't understand why you'd need this in a high school until the client mentioned her daughter watches the students as the teacher is teaching remotely. So you bring the kids in for Covid Theater while the teacher sits home, unreal.

I am placing my bet: I think the third wave will be this fall and winter. But it won't be a virus. It will be ADE but it will be called COVID 21.

I think the powers that be will then double down on "everyone must be vaccinated". Just in time - Pfizer and the other will have straight up approval.

It will be no jab, no job. I find out next week if I am still employed. My employer is basically forcing me to choose between my job vs my health/life.

In a sane world, a business that pisses off 50 percent of its customer base is not going to stay in business. But we are not living in a sane world.

The upcoming wave of business failures will be blamed on COVID 21 and upon the coming economic chaos and collapse - not on loss of customer base or boycotts.

The "problem" with everything we are discussing here is that we are trying to speak logic, reasoning and critical thinking to FEAR BASED INSANITY.

I am not hopeful about Texas. They have repealed the mask mandate and opened up for business but yet the Governor and legislature allows Houston Methodist?

Where are the doctors - specialists in hematology, cardiology, neurology and pulmonary? Surely they are witnessing first hand the consequences if the jabs.

Why are only 117 employees out of 30k suing this health care facility? Are people this brainwashed, uninformed and passive? It is truly mass psychosis.
