Just cut the bull**** ok?

Masks do not work.

"Social distancing" does not work because the places where the virus spreads are not where you can employ it.

These are facts.  Even the CDC admits it.  The largest single source of Covid-19 infection is from symptomatic persons in households. The secondary attack rate is only 0.7%, that is, 7 in 1,000, among asymptomatic people, whether pre-symptomatic or truly asymptomatic.  But among symptomatic people it is about 18%, or very close to 1 in 5.

If only 7 in 1,000 asymptomatic cases result in spread in a household where people are in the same confined space with the same breathing air for hours at a time then incidental exposure to asymptomatic people in a business has to result in much lower transmission.

In other words masking asymptomatic people in public is stupid and does nothing because those who don't spread the disease unmasked in a house certainly won't do so unmasked in a business or otherwise in public.

On the other hand symptomatic people, had we instead excluded them would have made an impact.  I recommended this early on, including if you wanted to do contactless temperature checks at the door.  Rather than do that I see people coughing into their mask all the time in various businesses, and not once or twice either.  Why aren't they immediately expelled?  If that's Covid they have they're spreading it, and quite effectively so.

The only other statistically important places for transmission, again according to the CDC, were nosocomial spread, that is, from health care workers and in large industrial plants, specifically the meat-packing industry.  But we know masks don't work in the latter at all; very early on Germany, which had a 100% mask requirement in said plants, took a massive super-spread event in such a plant that was sequenced and proved to have occurred in the plant as the index case was identified along with the downstream infections.  So we know masks don't work in meat-packing plants either -- and we knew that with absolute certainty by the summer of last year.  Yet nutjob Witless, along with many others continue to mandate wearing masks even though we disproved  their effectiveness on a scientific basis early on and you in the general public continue to lap it up like fools being led to an alleged "shower."

And what do we have here now in a professional medical journal?

In close range situations, people are much more likely to be exposed to the virus by inhaling it than by having it fly through the air in large droplets to land on their eyes, nostrils, or lips.

In other words your mask is worthless since said aerosols go right through any gap, never mind that with the exception of an N95 (which is legally a respirator, not a maskthe pores in the material are 10x or more larger than the aerosol and thus are exactly identical to trying to stop mosquitoes with a chain link fence, which I pointed out nearly a year ago.  We knew this was fact after the German meatpacking plant outbreak yet you did not shove your governor's and mayor's mask up their ass when they played "you're gonna fall off" flat-earth fear games with you.

You must like displaying your single-digit IQ wearing a proved worthless rag on your face.

When it comes to health care we refused to demand that non-seroconverted people stay the hell away from anyone vulnerable -- that is, people who are morbid, old, or both and yet haven't had the virus (and now, who aren't vaccinated.)  We could have enforced that a year ago and refused to do so, on purpose.  Rather than segregate said health care workers out of society, paying them whatever it took for them to go nowhere other than an isolated hotel room and their work if they were working with at-risk people we branded them "heroes."  Was it "heroic" to transmit the virus all through society -- including into nursing homes?

After all nobody goes to the doctor or hospital that isn't already compromised medically in some way, right?

Meanwhile Witless has crammed down the throats of young, non-vulnerable people a shutdown of schooling, limited re-openings, masked kids, issued fines, even jailed people and otherwise kept those who are at little or no risk cooped up.  That's stupid too, as I pointed out months ago.

For a group of people who claim to believe in evolution you're pretty ****ing stupid up there and indeed everywhere else in the United States.  Putting evolutionary pressure on an organism makes it more likely for mutated traits that evade said pressure to succeed.  You didn't want more-transmissible strains, right?  Well then you should have taken off the ****ing masks six months ago and shoved them up your governor's ass!  You don't want more virulent strains do you?  Well then how smart do you think it is to use non-sterilizing "vaccines" on a population-wide basis which promotes exactly that sort of mutation?

We did learn that decades ago, I remind you and while many have said that risk is "theoretical" that argument went up in smoke with Marek's disease.

You must really like being slaughtered by your "Governor", Michiganders.

After all she's still in office, isn't she?

Do stupid things, win stupid prizes.

Michigan, you did stupid things.

You elected and continue to allow a worthless piece of **** to infest an office and she, through her policies, killed your mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers and you're still letting her get away with it.

You won stupid prizes and you deserve them.

There's a warning in here for other states, governors, cities and counties too: Don't believe your own press for a second.

Sevier County's mask mandate expired on the 15th.  Yesterday, the 16th, I went into Gatlinburg to see how the Tard Rags of TN was doing.  Most of the signs other than the sun-worn ones parroting the "mandate" were gone.  The ones that were sun-worn were ignored; 95%+ of the people walked right in, no diaper on the face.

But the few businesses that had real signs up; their own, which of course on private property they can do, really have two choices: Cut that crap out or go out of business.  The difference between the two was stark and let me tell you, between attitudes even where there was no sign was worse.

The majority of human communication is non-verbal.  A huge part of that is through your face.  A smiling clerk behind the counter sells goods and services.  A masked face does not and the people don't want anything to do with it.  Earthbound had up the most-audacious of all the signs and the place was deserted on a Friday, which in Gatlinburg, well, the town itself was mobbed.

I bought a coffee at Burg, which I used to do before the Tard Rags. Their coffee was as good as always; they're the only coffee shop that is worth the money in town.  There was no sign, but they were wearing them inside anyway and the guy behind the counter -- was he scowling that I was not?  Was he mouthing "**** you" under that bandana?  He said he was annoyed the Mayor dropped the order, so maybe my smiling face was un-welcome and underneath that bandana he had his tongue out at me, or was mouthing something like "*******"Since he covered his face I have no idea.  And, during the time I was getting my coffee they only had one other customer.  Just go ahead and put the "Going Out of Business Sign" up right now Burg.

On the other hand there's this tiny sandwich shop I found; had never been in there before.  It was full, and good. Meats carved right there, and every employee in the place was smiling.  They were being rewarded at the cash register too.

While driving home, just for those who think that was all just tourist opinion I stopped at a local grocer.  I was in there two days ago and mask compliance was probably 90%.  Only about third of customers were wearing them yesterday.  These are all locals; it's not in the part of town where the tourists go, by and large.  Yeah, there were some scared Karens, but they were far outnumbered by rational, thinking people who have had enough of the bull****.

Oh by the way, maybe that revulsion from the lies is extending to the jabs as well.

The blood clots, randomly-delivered, are free.  No thanks *******s.  Tomorrow's column will explain in more detail; there's science on this now, you see, which we didn't bother to take the time to learn before.  IMHO every one of the EUAs must be immediately revoked for anyone not at significantly-elevated risk as there is now emerging hard, scientific evidence that they have a decent probability of causing significant and potentially permanent harm.

You done ****ed up Mayor Waters and Governor Lee and there's no evidence you're penitent men either.

May you get yours, as you well-deserve, at the ballot box and in all other respects.

PS: Be sitting down when you read tomorrow's column.

It's a start. Nice to hear that a majority of folks are venturing about with an au natural face immediately upon expiration of the mandates. Even with the utmost of propaganda, eventually the populace gets over it and desire a return to normal. Like the virus itself, the fear porn will eventually fade into the background and folks will mostly ignore it.

Once they get a taste of freedom and see that the world hasn't ended, it will become progressively more difficult to scare them back into complying again.

Wish it were the same in my nape of the woods (GA). I went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and I'd say about 1/2 the customers walked in with masks. Some kept them on after sitting down.

I then went to Lowe's to pick up some cow manure for the garden. I thought, surely people won't be wearing masks in the garden department. Wrong. At least 2/3 had masks on . . . outside.

As an aside, no one in town seems to have any cow manure. Who'd have ever dreamed that [bull****] would be out of stock?

Hey Karl ... first time. I read your link on Marek's disease, at least the stuff I can understand. One item keeps coming up - you are at risk if you get the covid vac (marker, complications, etc) and you may be at a higher risk if you do not - the Marek thing. Is this why Doc F says the world needs to be vaccinated 'cuz the med world screwed up on the non-sterilizing vac. Or, way out conspiracy stuff, just a way to control population growth. So which group do you pick on? Followers or Independents.

@Roryguy - Wait for tomorrow's column.

IMHO I will take the risk of being the control; there is emerging scientific evidence that ALL of the current EUA'd vaccines are dangerous and the damage may well be both unavoidable and permanent.

I went from saying I'm in the control group to saying I'm in the safe group. Now its a matter of not telling people why I'm not getting it to more of a,matter of telling them hiw they ****ed themselves.

Regarding masks seeing more people enjoy what I've been doing for more than a year. Heres yer sign....

I think the reply of Im in the control group to most nosy busybodies who inquire on my vax status is brilliant. I plan to use it myself.

The masks are slowly coming off here in my neck of the woods but still mandatory in many private places.

@Zappafan - Ignore the signs. Without a legal mandate all they can do is ask you to leave. You cannot be trespassed (legally) until and unless you refuse after being asked to leave the premesis.

If you have a cart full of whatever before you get asked, leave it where it is and walk out. That makes them work even more, and costs you nothing. You still can choose to put it on for a later trip there if its worth it for some reason.

If a store employee tells me to wear a mask I do. I may not come back again though. There are many places with signs where the employees are told not to confront the consumers. The business is just trying to keep karen and the local gov happy.

Masks are useless - any thinking person knows that at this point.

The real problem ALWAYS goes back to the dismissal/banning of effective therapeutics (HCQ, then Ivermectin) with early outpatient treatment from the get-go. Health care workers should have been on HCQ prophylaxis. The vulnerable in nursing homes should have been on prophylaxis, and HCQ used for treatment like Dr. Robin Armstrong did in Texas. Discrediting and banning these meds, in order to meet the requirements for the Emergency Use Authorization to rush the vaccines, is the policy that killed people. Hundreds of thousands of people.

I've been taking HCQ once a week for a year - with zinc, C and D daily.

I think temperature checkers at the door are pointless. They are supposed to look for people with a fever above 100.4

Well when I was sick with Covid, my temperature never even hit 99.8 and neither did that of my husband or my two oldest kids. My youngest kid spiked a fever of 103.5 for about two days, but with a fever that high you know your child has a virus and theyre too uncomfortable to take out of the house anyway.

We had nearly every other symptom though, and some days were pretty bad, but it was never debilitating.

Had we gotten the bug a year ago before all the hype, both of us would have popped some Motrin and Claritin and went about our day, never thinking we had something more serious than allergies or at worst a dry flu.

@Ladygrover - You won't catch them all or even half of them. But you WILL catch some percentage, and the most-important is if you catch an employee that might otherwise expose 100 or more people.

It's also non-intrusive, fast, and doesn't******anyone off very much. Remember that the goal isn't 100% interdiction, which is impossible -- it is to present downward pressure on transmission.

If I know I'm mildly sick and I am going to get scanned at the door maybe I don't go in. If I AM sick and have it, and don't go in, I don't expose anyone. If I put on a ****ing mask the virus goes right around it and I expose everyone anyway!

Ignore the signs.

Absolutely. We had a 90 day mask mandate but now that is has expired that's how I determine whether or not I will patronize a business. If I get told to wear a mask, I leave. Forever. We never had a statewide mask mandate but the local health advisory board scared the city council into adopting one but surprisingly they looked at the data and didn't renew it at the end of February. This, of course, sent the board members straight to the local television and radio outlets shrieking about a spike in cases and deaths. Didn't happen.

We took several trips to small, rural bar and grills/steakhouses where they either didn't have a mask mandate or just ignored it. Surprising how good the steaks and atmosphere can be when you get off the beaten track.

starting three days ago the morning radio in NYC (yes, i am back to my current diggs.) was reporting that a vexxination location in a densely populated area had over 6000 doses of the vexxcine available. People could go there to get theirs with little chance of them running out and short wait times. The authorities sounded a little panicked in the report that people were not availing themselves of the vexxing shot.

Funny that.

The effect of Michigan's policies will be for people who disagree with them and who want to get on with having a life, will move to a state that is open, like Texas. There are only a hand full of states that have significant restrictions in place. So there are plenty of places for people leaving Michigan to move it. Michigan is a declining state anyways, and continued covid-19 restrictions will accelerate its decline.

I live in Washington state, which is probably 95% back to normal (we have to wear masks in enclosed buildings, but everything is open at full capacity, same with Oregon). If Washington state had the same restrictions as Michigan, or was trying to implement a vaccine "passport" system, we would leave as well.

I was just thinking about the "karens" and how I actually have not encountered any. I think this is because I live in the Western U.S. and, aside from lefty bastions such as downtown Portland and Seattle, we are very much "live and let live". It also reminded me of my teenage life (say, 1979) when young guys were more masculine and defiant. You might hassle them about something and they would reply with "Don't worry about it, Dude!". I think we need to bring back some of that attitude.

In my personal experience with a group of about 20 covid positive people who were all getting temp checked twice a day, not a single one ran a fever. Three or four of them showed high 99's or low 100's one time and then never again.

Not a single one ran a fever as you would imagine somebody with a virus would.
Even people who were really pretty badly sick (not hospital sick, but a bad case) didn't run a fever.

One woman on last night's flight back to CO hacking her head off in 1st class. She was wearing her fake mask like a true superhero so no big deal. Hilarious.

As I am very often the first one to board my flights for work. About a third of the time I walk onboard to find the entire flight crew sans masks. You should see the scattering and frantic diaper donning going on. Last night one flight attendant in high heals nearly capsized when she ran into an armrest while fleeing me.

Three weeks ago in an airport lounge one self-appointed employee approached me and hissed that I needed to pull my mask up between sips of my beer. I told her "Forget it.". I left my beer where it sat and vacated.
