Because I had SOMETHING, which I assumed was either H1N1 OR Covid, first week of January 2020. It was NASTY. By the time I could get antibody tests I was seronegative, but that's not surprising.

Since I've been repeatedly exposed -- enough times that I've lost count -- and have not gotten it. So either I had it (and it wasn't H1N1), I'm the luckiest SOB alive (as I didn't even get a LOW symptom or asymptomatic case), my prophylaxis protocol works (possible; non-pharmaceutical, supplement based and easily OTC available) or I had some OTHER virus that cross-reacts sufficiently to prevent an infection sufficiently bad to build a specific antigen response.

I ain't buying the "luckiest SOB alive" explanation.

My exposure was almost certainly from a shared broom or a phone. It almost certainly wasn't from anything respiratory because of the situation, I couldn't interact directly with anybody.

Really appreciate the hard work you are doing for the good of this nation. Since I discovered your site back in 2007, its been eye opening to say the least.

My 8 year son had a virus in early Feb 2020 after a one day visit to Boston. He was leveled for 4 days eating little and dropped weight. The doctors simply told us it was viral and he needed rest and water. I'm convinced it was Covid. No one else in the family had symptoms.

Recently, I was at a ski area with my two kids attempting to get on a chair lift when a mask nazi demanded to see whether I was wearing a mask under my ski mask. I kept insisting I was wearing a mask but this Karen wanted me to pull down my mask to see if I had a mask on under my ski mask. i refused and held everyone up from getting on the lift. People were cursing me out in front of my kids. I laid into them and called them good little Nazis and finally left the line and went to another lift. Where I was approached by the manager of the Mountain who said these were the policies I agreed to when I bought the ticket. I proceeded to lay into him because I bought my season passes in November 2020 and there was no discussion about double masks. I demanded that I get all of my money back for the 3 seasons passes I purchased when he decided I wasn't an idiot and suggested i speak to the GM of the resort about that. He left me alone and we had a great day of skiing and saw multiple employees not wearing masks throughout the day. So sick of the sheeple.

@Sronca - The J&J vaccine hijacks an adrenovirus and uses it to do the same thing the other two do with mRNA.

There is no salient difference in WHAT they do and their mechanism of action. IMHO there is no particular reason to believe one is safer than the other.

The L.A. city schools were already so awful by the 80's that my ex and I paid the extra and sent our son to a private school from grades K-6. The we split up and I enrolled my son in the Cherokee County schools here in GA. They were among the highest rated in the state and he got a good education. That said, I wouldn't send my kids to ANY public schools in this country these days.

I volunteer at an ongoing fundraising sale; we have kept it going through most of the pandemic despite most other sales of its type being closed. Today a customer stopped by; a lady in her late 60s. We started to talk about vaccines, and I expected her to say what everyone else I've run into who is her age has said; that she was so thrilled to have been vaccinated, or so eager to be vaccinated. But, to my astonishment, she did not. She explained her reluctance, and many of her arguments were ones that are mentioned here, including ADE and autoimmune risks and fact that vaccines have traditionally required years of testing to establish safety and the problem that science has become a business driven by profits. She said she was quite healthy without any medications and was hoping to stay that way, at least until she had more information from a source that she actually trusted - but she was not sure whom she would trust at this point, given the misinformation she has seen in the news.

Her knowledge and position were especially surprising since she does not have a computer of any sort; she is not reading articles or blogs online. Then she mentioned that her father had worked for Merck for 50 years.

Earlier this week I thought I saw some hope. I had the car serviced at a local shop, just about all the employees no mask, me no mask. Good conversation, they all think this is a lot of nonsense and most of the employees had Covid. I believe I convinced many of them to not get the vaccine. When I was there, a cop came into the shop with mask on, did not say anything about everybody maskless. Hope.

Driving today, I see two idiots walking outside with masks on, another idiot drives by (only person in the car) with a mask on. No hope.
