Thank you. Currently there are 3 companies that have bee issued subpoenas regarding their vape additives. They are thinking that there are possibly problems with the thickening agents.

The companies being served with subpoenas are:
--Honey Cut Diluting Agent by Honey Cut Labs LLC in Santa Monica, California
--Uber Thick by Floraplex Terpenes in Ypsilanti, Michigan
--Pure Diluent by Mass Terpenes in Amherst, Massachusetts

There is almost twenty years of human experience with base nicotine and the salts are relatively new. Not a lot of human experience there. As far as the THC stuff I'm not sure why anyone would put Vit. E in there and once again we have thousands of years experience with the plant. If I was into THC I would stick with the plant.

@Tinman, flower is the safest way to go. The cart market has literally exploded in the last couple of years, and black market sellers have been making a lot of money due to the escalating demand. The thickener oils were used because evidently folks were complaining about "thin" oils (hot dog water), so these products were used to thicken the oil up so buyers would think they were legit. You can purchase the carts and all the bogus pre-printed packaging from China (dhgate.com)

This is the kind of podcast that I prefer. Under 10 minutes and straight to the point.

Thanks,

You have touched on the Vape thing quite a bit. Whats your interest?

Vaping to quit smoking does not work. You will hit that pen non-stop until your head is spinning, and you will not realize it until you hit that point.

Nicotine gum when your skin is crawling and you are going insane does work. It breaks the hand to mouth habit.

@Sandor -- Excuse me? It's a public-health issue and of interest as I have a decent number of friends who have substituted vapes for smoking.

As for "quite a bit" -- one article and one podcast update in the last couple of months -- and one article in 2016 in which I blew the "bull****" alarm on the vape juice being "complete safe." That's "a lot"?

On balance I can't see how that's a bad trade -- up until this showed up, of course. And I do agree it doesn't seem to work to stop smoking; none of the people I know who swapped have ceased using the vape "box." And nicotine is bad all on its own.

But a heart attack risk is arguably better than a heart attack AND lung cancer risk, no?

Speaking of nicotine...

Day before yesterday was my one year anniversary (day before my son's b-day.)

I smoked every single day for over 30 years and had no illusions about changing the form I took it in being a solution. Chantix worked extremely well for me.

I still think about them damn near every day though. It's really disturbing.

I have heard a ton of ex-smokers say the same thing. I wonder if ex -cocaine, -alcoholics, ..., say the same thing.
