Powell: I Lie. You Should Buy
[Comments enabled]

I'm very concerned about the trajectory of federal debt.  Therefore I will cut rates so the government can run even larger fiscal deficits -- that is, take on more federal debt.

I'm very concerned about the trade talks.  Therefore I will cut rates, but there won't be a recession due to the trade situation.

I'm very concerned about low inflation.  This, of course, is a lie; the US Government ran a ~4% fiscal deficit from a year ago (as of today), yet both GDP and wage growth are under that, so you're getting ass-rammed on a daily basis.

And so on we go; the bubble machine continues onward.

There is no independent central bank folks.  Give that premise up.

And expect lots more of this sort of crap when it all goes to Hell.

The above is nothing new for Philadelphia. Heck it was smaller than the 600-800 "roving crowd of young adults" smashing cars (including cop car windows) a few days earlier - https://6abc.com/roving-crowd-of-young-adults-damages-multiple-police-cars/5372829/

Difference with the Walgreens incident (actually, I understand that police were just making/convincing store owners to lock up while the mob was proceeding down the street vs stopping the "youths" - until they hit the Walgreens that stayed open and had goods the "youths" were interested in) is that the Walgreens location is in Center City Philly - a business/commercial area that keeps Philly afloat with tax revenue and where large scale crime and similar disruptions normally do not happen.

Philly DA is a bought and paid for Soros man - so not like he would prosecute many/any of the scum anyway.

Imagine a future where you must badge in or pass facial recognition AI and it be checked against a Social Credit Score to even enter a store.

Otherwise you get to use mail order or an armored kiosk.

No licking Ice cream if you can't touch it.

Debt junkie: Josh golly, Chairman Powell, how did we get to the top 1% owning 40% of everything?

Debt pusher: Yeah, we did notice that.

Watched it for an hour and again all BS! No inflation, slowing growth and nothing but soft ball questions. When I heard the question regarding credit card rates, he just blew it off. When they talked about consumers being the largest part of the economy and how their wages haven't kept up, again blown off. What wasn't mentioned was consumer debt along with the insane CC rates people are forced to pay. We saw the banks jack rates up to 6 percent on many credit cards and they blamed it on the Fed. Add in the auto loans and of course healthcare costs in inflation and again ignored.
It's all about keeping the ponzi scam of a market going up. Only the top 5% make bank on this and everyone else pays higher prices. Inflation is not only caused by these idiots printing money, but by greedy corporations raising prices because they can't find new customers.

The lesson of Japan is to have an peaceful and mutually cooperative society, sayeth me. Also strictly guarding the borders and enforcing strict immigration laws makes less chaos.

regarding the video, what happens when this becomes so commonplace as to overwhelm any community or police force. in a functioning republic the national guard comes in, but the situation never really improves. what if the good people of any race decide that the immediate indignities and past ones warrant something epic? add in if the country goes to **** and the police simply go home. dirtbags think that they can create no-go zones and already do so in some areas. they depend upon one thing. the law prohibits the general citizenry from fixing the problem. what happens when the law does not exist? even better when it happens somewhere and people get inspired to do the same. it will be too big to be controlled or stopped and other nifty things will arise from the chaos.

the loss of life will be unimaginable.

if you think that this is not possible, ponder the following. if you live in a relatively stable area and a human mass of evil is coming in a wave towards you and your fellow civilized people, what do you do other than create effective mass casualty events without reservation and without mercy by any means necessary. or else you die.

@Fum-- leftists in this country believe that if they import enough socialist voting Mexican orcs, that they'll get Scandanavia, not Mexico.

I wouldn't want to be Ainu in Japan though.

Drifter, being an Ainu sucked **** back in the Meiji period and the first half of the Showa period. Now is a relatively good time to be Ainu, though those in Japan now are mixed-race. Since Ainu also has the meaning of 'human being' even the Shisamu of today technically qualify, though maybe not certain others.
