FIREFLY said: I was hoping that the GOOOH Party would pick up steam almost 95000 members but until the R&D establishment is uprooted it will only get the 3rd party treatment In case some of you haven't heard of GOOOH (pronounced "Go"), it is a grass roots movement that is trying to replace incumbents with citizens from all walks of life (all walks except politics). It stands for "Get Out Of Our House", and that includes the Senate. The idea is to send business owners, doctors, plumbers, teachers, etc. to Washington, have them serve 1-2 terms, then return to their real jobs. I don't know this for a fact, but I thought that was the idea that our Founders had, though some of them appeared to be career politicians themselves. GOOOH is trying to get on the ballot in as many states as possible for the next election. Members who live close enough to meet together, do so, then they pick a candidate from their group and get them on their state's ballot as a GOOOH candidate. I don't know why GOOOH hasn't reached out to the Tea Party folks, as I think most Tea Partiers would agree with the idea of getting rid of politics as a career. Anybody know anything about this? 2011-10-19 15:32:28
