-Overwhelming Evidence of not being racist (pushing justice for homeless black man attack) and mixed race family ties and relationships, their should blacks on the stand for him.

All he needs to be released is evidence of little physical damage to tray, like if he punched tray, then he has a little problem, not much IMHO because of his back of head wounds and broken nose, he could claim he was fighting back. if there are no bruises on tray, he has a good case for a massive civil suit against the state for damages, the law says he has immunity from prosecution in SYG cases.

all he needs to have is a clear recollection of how tray went for his gun while being attacked, then his life is in danger and he's clear to shoot.

I'm becoming more aware that much of the media has an agenda that gets a boost by slanting news to support that agenda.

Its not just about race in the Zimmerman story, its also about other causes:

Equality of outcome vs equality of opportunity.
"evil" business
Rabid environmentalism, including overcoming anthropogenic global warming.

The masses have trust in media inculcated from an early age. Its been that way for a long time. (ex: "remember the Maine" to foment Spanish American War.)

It's dangerous to jump too far. That piece of evidence strongly supports a struggle for the firearm, but does not preclude a (rather unlikely) malfunction.

I need to read the actual affidavit carefully. It could be in there mentioned in passing; when reading language like "firearm recovered at the scene with a full magazine" many people don't fully parse all the clauses to the end. A speed-reader sees "weapon recovered... scene... normal." You have to have some knowledge of semiautomatic firearm mechanisms to realize how important having a full mag after discharge is. In that way it could be present in the affidavit but without these implications explicitly stated.

A lot in this case is probably malicious, but some could be simple incompetence. I'm not yet certain which this bit falls under.

More likely, the prosecutor got away with the bare minimum of what she could get the detectives to sign off, hence all the vagueness.

Yep. If true, Zimmerman lucked out that his one shot stopped the attack; "luck" in that "better judged by twelve than carried by six." At contact range, though, the best weapon is a revolver with a shrouded hammer.

Spent cartridge, and full magazine, means gun cycled as it should except a failure to feed. The most common reason for failure to feed is the magazine not properly seated in the magazine well. This could have been when Zimmerman loaded the weapon or during a struggle for the gun, the magazine release was depressed.

Added. It could also mean that whoever counted the rounds in the magazine included the one that cycled into the chamber. We have very little good evidence available to us. Mostly hearsay speculation and innuendo.

I also live in Florida. In fact, Sanford is the next town over from where I live (rural) along SR46. This is quite close to home.

I haven't personally seen any outfall from this case - as in racial protests or any of the heated protests. Maybe I am just lucky ~ so far. But am prepared if necessary....

Anyway, as Floridians, is there anything we can do about Angela Corey? Is there some kind of recall petition we can start? A vote of no confidence? If possible, and Florida citizens get enough support behind the legislators up in Tallahassee, could they remove her legislatively?

This stinks to high heck of a political prosecution.

I presume that George Zimmerman may have legal recourse against her - at least civilly - should the charges be dropped or he is exonerated. He certainly has standing.

But is there some legal action Florida citizens might be able to take against her? I assume the issue is either there isn't a legal avenue for that - and/or anyone else except GZ would be judged as not having standing.

I am of the opinion that those who do not like living in the USA I grew up in should leave, so my children will have the same opportunities I had. There are so many other places and countries that have what these people want, such as free health care and nanny state benefits that would keep them happy. The race baiters such as Al, Jesse, NBPP, et al, should just head to the multicultural utopia of Africa or some other place that they think they would be treated better. If it is so bad here…just leave. There are no fences or guards keeping you here. Why do we have to give up our freedoms to succeed AND fail, so you can have your free stuff and guaranteed outcomes. They might have found the casing in the gun - does not necessarily say they found the casing on the ground.

Let's parse source's statement while imagining ourselves there.

What do you do when you are handed a gun?
First probably eject the magazine

Second pull back the slide to clear the chamber.

If the gun has a decocker you might use it first but those things make me nervous so i'd use above sequence and drop the hammer only after chamber is verified clear..

IF magazine came out full, it means gun only fired once and did not complete its eject-feed cycle..

IF spent cartridge was found in chamber it means gun did not even complete the eject half of cycle (which comes before feed half of cycle)..

IF spent cartridge was found on ground it might have ejected either when fired or when a policeman cleared the chamber.

Article says " The only bullet missing was the one in the chamber," inferring that's where they found it.
Article does not say "The only bullet missing was the one found on the ground nearby..,"

and why wold someone say "in the chamber" if it was on the ground instead?

But there's been a reporter in between us and the scene who may or may not be familiar with semi-automatics so might not appreciate the importance of that detail.. meaning we dont know for sure.
Will be attentive for that detail.
