Oh come on, you know that there are two standards in this country. One for blacks who at 14% of the population commit half of the murders and homicides, and robberies, and one for everyone else.
That the above statement never gets any "airplay" makes the point for me. In fact, that the above does not get any "airplay" also makes a case for what a white person told me years ago: "I've just washed my hands of the blacks". Let them kill each other all they want to, I just see welfare payments as hush money to keep them out of my way.

P.S. Don't hold your breath waiting for this administration to do ANY meaningful prosecution. In that regard they are not racist, they won't prosecute Jon Corzine just like they won't prosecute anyone else.

A few weeks ago KD wrote a ticker citing the federal conspiracy statute. By Bikemechanic's research, it sure looks like Somebody has been comspiring to deprive Zimmerman of his fair trial. Add that to the list of prosecutions overdue. This administration has been silent in prosecuting fraud on Wall Street, and in prosecuting just about everything else; the most notable work has come vs. Roger Clemens, and there the U.S. attorneys screwed up so badly in court it resulted in a mistrial with harsh words from the judge [who I'm shocked didn't dismiss the case with prejudice]. If they haven't been bothered to do anything thus far in actually upholding the rule of law when it's really important, there's no reason to think they'd suddenly step back from watching porn to do it down. |

I'm surprised, Karl usually is all over Netflix when they bomb on an earnings release.
While I agree with all that Karl has written on the race politics being played out with poor George Zimmerman I guess I've just gotten fatigued about the whole issue. I'm*****ed that they're destroying this guys life to score a few PC points and are inciting a full on race war but I don't see that there is much that we can do. Politely writing our congressman (or woman) gets you a form letter (doesn't matter if it's E-mail or a handwritten note), and being impolite may just get you arrested. So what do you do? They ignore the middle class on most of these issues and even when we've gotten organized (like the tea party) they subsume and corrupt it so that it becomes just another tool for the main stream political parties. Nothing changes, so other than pitchforks and torches I don't see that they'll take us too seriously.

I agree with the sentiment Mdporter but I think in this case correlation does not equal causation.
It's the gangsta, don't-need-no-[insert noun here like "education," "man," or "job"] culture. It permeates nearly all rap / R&B music and even the vernacular used by these people. This culture is highly correlated with black youths, but it that isn't even close to 100%. Karl has put the finger on this quite well in past Tickers (search for "grill").
If there were a reliable way of evaluating people who subscribe to/are part of this culture I would expect that murder perpetrators would belong to that group at a far higher rate - 85%+ if I had to guess.
When I see or hear anyone - regardless of color, I could be BLIND and would react the same - who is part of that culture, I immediately move away. Physically. As far as possible. Reason, truth, and logic are not in their vernacular; we are intellectually a different species.
That is the issue. It is a cultural clash writ large, and there is objectively a wrong side. They're starting to show their true merits with this case, but I expect more and worse to come.

These guys and the new black panthers need to be made examples of, the threats themselves aren't nearly as bad as the precedent the Executive branch will set if they look the other way on this.
As for the black violence issue there'd be a lot less of it without all the black markets. And without all those armed thugs created by said black markets black youths would have to find someone else to idolize. Maybe they could idolize Obama and his financiers, thus channeling their youthful energies into socially (and federally) acceptable crimes like fraud and extortion, developing useful skills like sophistry and legerdemain..

Many of the individuals voicing death threats are indeed criminals, but criminal activity of that nature is trifling in comparison to what Holder's DO"J" has been doing by sitting on its ass or actively getting involved to dismiss criminal investigations such as in the case of the NBPs being caught on camera in front of polling places scaring off would-be voters. The rule of law is what motivates you to, say, build a house while being secure in the knowledge that, if I try to break into your house and wrongfully claim it as my own, society at large will punish me for my crimes against you. Chaos, often accompanied by the policy of "might makes right", is what usually follows the breakdown of the rule of law. The rule of law is a FOUNDATIONAL principle that our entire culture, that Western civilization as a whole, rests upon. Attack the foundation, and if the attack is successful, the whole structure will collapse.
