I just want to say that Enron happened on the R watch and went down and prosecutions followed. Ken Lay was a contributor and asked for help and was rebuffed. IMO, the fact that he died awaiting sentencing and appeals prior to serving time does not mean that he "never faced the music".

This is no different then fraudclosuregate. These banksters knew they were immune from prosecution. It seems to me that they went balls to the wall committing every kind of fraud like they were completely protected from prosecution. They knew that the worst that would happen is more penny fines if they were called on the carpet for their fraud.

Look what happened. These clowns compounded fraud on fraud and walked away with fines when we know the money was stolen from the taxpayers to begin with to pay the fines.

Just ask the question of who would do what these guys did and continue to do with impunity? It seems to me that they cut a deal with this administration to guarantee no prosecutions no matter what they did in return for electing the current adminstration.
