Chemman Posts: 498 Registered: 2021-05-03 Concho Arizona	I learned first hand in a special projects O-Chem class that the methods and materials being used is critical when trying to reproduce an experiment. My O-Chem professor said to follow on steps but one. He didn't think it would make a difference. Turns out it did. The reaction was going to completion but producing a secondary alcohol instead of a primary alcohol. So, like TG, I have read lots of papers over the past couple of years and when I would read an RCT that supposedly debunked IVM and HCQ I'd look closely at the methods and materials sections. Invariably I'd find that instead of using the methods and materials (protocols) in the retrospective studies they were trying to prove/disprove they didn't follow those methods and materials and then came to the unjustified conclusion that they didn't work. When in fact it was a rigged RCT to disprove the early treatment. RCT's aren't the be all and end all of research. It's all depends on how they are structured and the HONESTY & INTEGRITY of the researchers and organization(s) sponsoring it. 2022-01-31 12:59:48
