Concerning Trump's acquittal: Since the Constitution clearly states the Chief Justice presides over the impeachment trial of the President, it follows Trump's accusers did not consider him to be president. Yet the acts he was tried for occurred while he was president! It reasons the exercise was a show trial. For by the same logic used to justify this trial of Trump, a trial could be held of any former president for acts they committed while in office! I can only laugh at Romney & Sasse. They claim to be following the constitution yet then how do they explain the absence of the Chief Justice? And since when is a trial presided over by a declared political adversary "Constitutional"? As I say, I can only laugh at such foolishness. 2021-02-13 17:30:20
