I work in semiconductor and I can tell you, MOST entry level hires with masters in either Comp eng, or ELEE: ASIA, mainly India. These are 6 figure jobs and I can't tell when I saw substantial American(a few did get hired) get hired. I started to wonder if Americans stop studying math and engineering. When I lived in the silly valley I started calling myself Token.. cause well I was the token white guy on them. Only to full the full brunt of how much of the asian H1s would rather I not have been there. Outside of the valley, most of the H1s I've met/worked with are at best seat fillers. Managing to get a masters really doesn't seem to equate to being a decent engineer. 2020-06-29 13:53:02
