They're not bad for what they are; being solid-state you can bash them around without much concern and they're reversible, so if you have a cool place you can keep things warmer. Their delta between hot/cold can reach 50F but efficiency goes to Hell at wider variations; 30F is more-reasonably expected. You CAN "stack" them to get better differentials but at the cost of (even much worse) efficiency, if you really need to.
But as a replacement for conventional mechanical refrigeration? Only if the power is literally FREE, and it never is!
