Had a microburst come through my western burb of Chicago 15 or so years ago, best guess (by the smart people at MDW and ORD With all the gadgets) was maybe 65 mph which lasted about 25 35 seconds... stripped half the leaves off the trees and not a small amount of shingles. I remember thinking sustained winds of 75 85 100 mph in a hurricane for half an hour???? F me. Cat 4 ?
