would it really cause much of a recession?A textbook definition of an economic depression is a decline in real GDP exceeding 10%. The medical parasites consume 20% of GDP currently, when historically the medical industry was only 3-4%. Given the state of modern American politics, if the medical industry were gored, do you really believe the opposition wouldn't use that as a talking point, especially given the short-term effects felt by everyone who's reliant on the medical scams for their paychecks? It isn't just those who explicitly work for a medical firm, but also those who do higher-order work for those firms (e.g., construction firms that build medical facilities; electricians, plumbers, etc. whom they hire; the firms that provide supplies to those contractors; ...).
