I think Nigel understands that rightly-formed government is all we've got. All we've got to uphold the rule of law, which is the only thing that stands between us and our slide back into serfdom and the rule of the jungle only.Fantasies of "going Galt" and "Galt's Gulch" notwithstanding, that's the choice. There are reasons why the existence thriving middle classes have been so rare in the history of civilization. One of them being the squeeze between these two extremes.
The Founders got it too, which is why instead of trying to establish some utopian fantasy, they dispersed power among the three branches and between the federal government, on one hand, and the states and the people on the other.
