I read a blog yesterday about something written by a political historian named Martin Sklar. In it he favored Bush left. He said that Obamas policies were more in the vein of a third world country. This guy was someone Murray Rothbard was involved with during his anti-war days in the 1960's. The problem with the American political system is it started out as a mechanism for the oligarchs and financial interests and has rarely been anything else. The Republicans, whose ancestory has always been in bed with these guys at least give lip service to restraint. The Democrats, who jumped in bed with these guys about 100 years ago, pretend to be for the middle class. But, free lunch and shedding tears is all you ever hear from them. Both are mainly interested in keeping money flowing to their financial friends. 2012-05-07 13:29:07
