"An honest inquiry is therefore forced to ask the following question: What happened? That's relatively simple: Government happened." If I remember my history right....this all started in WWII..the government put wage controls into effect because of the severe shortage of workers...so business couldn't offer more money to attract workers....but they could offer a "benefits package"...and "free" health insurance was in a lot of those packages. So what happened was War and government meddling in the free market...screwed us then and now....things will never change.
