It is funny how tremendous amounts of wisdom get passed down to people who see unable to internalize and make use of that knowledge. Wisdom like:

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
There is no such thing as a free lunch.

But on the other hand, some people who internalize the wisdom will use it for ill purposes. Wisdom like:

A drowning man will grasp at a straw.

Which was repurposed to: someone who is losing their house will fall for a scam. So let's scam them.
