I wonder why Sprint would risk such a thing? Presumably now they could end up paying a lot of sales tax that they will not be able to collect from customers. If they had properly collected the full proper tax from customers all along, then the only effect would have been their product/service would have been slightly more expensive--but surely their competitors were not cheating on the tax, were they? Very strange to me.
