How would aluminum air batteries fare? Yes, I know, you can't plug one into a charger because the charging current would split the water in the electrolyte instead of de-oxidizing the alumimum. But... Isn't aluminum normally produced by applying electricity to some ore? Better yet, why not just use a radioisotope thermal generator to supply power to an EV? As for the fuel tax problem, just use the money that is no longer being spent on Middle East wars to hire the now laid-off soldiers and sailors to fill in potholes. 2012-02-27 02:35:17
