I'm an X'er and I sure as hell don't believe in Obama's hype. I've been ****ed over numerous times through out my career and it hasn't been until the last several years that I fully understood why. By and large it is the boomers who ****ed things up, but I don't truly subscribe the generational archetypes. I think the malaise of the Xers you're talking about is more due to feeling powerless and disenfranchised. The bezzle is not going to stop through the political process...that process is horribly corrupt. We are going to be lucky if we don't get an American Hitler via a military coup. That's where this is all headed because the political process is broken...period. I used to think that we could change things from local level up and I'm still somewhat encourged by the county sherriff's movement to stand up to the Fed .gov, but I don't feel there is enough time for that to work before we hit the wall. 2012-02-14 02:27:59
