Sigh.....
Again the partisans have come out for their various candidates, and there have been a couple of people who have run afoul of trying to drive their particular choice (especially in the Republican primary) through any pretense that they can find.
This has a history of producing sanctions of various sorts on the forum, and this time around was no exception. It will continue, for those who are incapable of ceasing their behavior when warned or worse, those who want to try to run the argument that "you must support X or Y will happen", either publicly or by email.
No, folks, I don't have to play that game and I won't waste my time on it. If you try to force the issue I will put a stop to it. There are three places for such political polemics on the forum (Politics, Lefties and Righties) -- and that's all. They do not belong in my Ticker threads and they most-especially do not belong in my email box. I'm not voting against candidates any longer. And I direct you once again to my first-level filter for political candidates, which I wrote on in October and remains valid.
Go read that Ticker again. It's three simple points and three areas of policy that a candidate must have and explain. None of them can be violated, and none of them have anything to do with partisanship.
Of the Republican Primary candidates none meet this criteria, and as such until and unless one or more does, I will not endorse any of them.
Period.
