Mpilar, this is pretty vague, as the court said it wasn't necessary in this case to solve what was a natural born citizen and thus they weren't going to go into that matter.
Mannfm11, I see their point...it wasn't necessary because the definition was obvious to them "it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also."
I don't think it's vague, I think the definition, as they wrote it, could very well be binding on today's case.
