@Alfgldbrg, I believe that what @Genesis is getting at is that in a price based economy as resources become more scarce the price goes up. As prices go up alternative products are sought out. As prices become restrictive on the original product, the most cost effective alternatives become the norm. However, the organics of a market can only be maintained when those "norms" aren't given special treatment by the powers that be. I feel like the population argument argument is a little different, but I'm not a sociologist or paleontologist to even begin to tackle that one. 2011-10-23 19:29:57
