I wouldn't give this story 2 cents of validity, other than the guy probably exists and works for Issa. He spent about 1 year at GS if you look at the printed resume. Issa bought a bunch of high yield bonds from GS. They weren't debt of Goldman Sachs and I would venture chances are good if he holds them, he gets screwed. Haller looks more like a professional bureaucrat than any kind of investment banker. Where are their stories about the wolf Barney Frank and Dodd guarding the hen house? They don't have one. Where are their stories about the goblins that are running the Obama administration? They probably don't have one of them either. What they do have is the use of VP behind a guys name that spent maybe a year or 2 at a firm as a compliance officer. If you know banks, the VP is the guy that holds the toilet paper roll for the boss. 2011-08-19 11:35:43
