This is why I wish wealth represented a bell curve.

It is mathemtical, and it allows for the rich and for the poor.

With the bell curve, the rich can not wield influance, and the politicians can not pray on the poor to get elected. The majority of wealth is in the middle class. All spectrums are possible, but if you want to be Charles Foster Kayne, it comes with a higher burden to society.

(I realize the above is idealistic, and I do not advocate creating a bell curve by force, just that our economic policy should be towards this goal. The bell curve is sound reasoning for distribution on all levels.)
