FDR might have snatched depression out of the jaws of recovery. Devaluing the dollar to provide liquidity to international exchange and the Bank Holiday might have been enough. Instead he put in the corporate state with its war government under the Act of October 6, 1917 and that could have in itself rescued the depression. I had grown up around the talk FDR stopped the depression. Then I started reading and I saw the charts that showed the depression was worse in 1938 than 1933.

I believe a million and one lies come to the front to cover the fact that government is powerless and that the main cause of depressions is the money system combined with excessive consumer and speculative credit. Who makes money off speculation and consumer credit, which includes in my opinion the rolled mortgage debt?
