I got the AMEX letter too and I'm in the same situation as you. It doesn't go into effect until October. I'm looking for me to somehow not get the bill on time from them. They give me 1% back, 2% for gasoline and maybe 3% for restaurants. I pay 0 in interest, just like all my other cards. I don't think they make much, if anything, from me. I was also fortunate to see the writing on the wall in 2007. Thanks to writers like you, mish, calculated risk, roubini, ... . I was burned by the internet collapse but have learned my lesson. I am much better at spotting losers than winners, so I love environments like we have now where it's easy to spot liars and short them. 2009-08-14 10:39:38
