Meltdown & Wcoeqpk862

I go to University of Missouri-Columbia. All of my friends, with the exception of 1-2, voted democrat this past election. I had to put up with the signs/slogans/druken debates/even his speech in our town. All of it. I was kicking and screaming the whole way. But that' all good and fine. The problem occurs when you have these same people supporting his administration and economic plans, FOR NO GOOD REASON!

The common reply is, "Well, they have to do SOMETHING? right?"

Also, isn't most of the money from this package being spent in 2010? Coincidence? Or is it the most expensive re-election campaign EVER?

The other night I was out with some friends,(all of which support Obama), and they asked me how I felt about the stimulus package, knowing that it would spark a rant from me. After I explained in detail how it wouldn't work, and retorted with the plan that Karl has been outlining (since i believe it is the best), people's eyes suddenly "glaze" over once you get into this territory. After about the first minute, they're just entertaining me, hoping I change the subject.

But that's my point. These seem to be (from my experience) the types of people who don't give a damn about what the government is doing, and the choices their making. Choices that will sooner or later, effect ALL OF US! That's why I get angry about people who support something, while remaining willfully ignorant of what's going on. Of course this is a really small sample, and simply my personal experience.

Sorry for the rant. Kind of related, I guess. =/

I want to see them do the right thing...because I fear the wrong.
