It is time to respond to this outrage:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The increase in usage of monoclonal antibodies has caused federal officials to place new limits on how much of them Alabama will get.

We’ve learned that state health officials and legislators are fighting to make sure the state gets as much as it needs.

The interesting twist is that there is no shortage of monoclonal antibodies of any kind nationwide.

As of this week, the more than 200 providers offering monoclonal antibodies will see a roughly 30 percent reduction in what they requested.

Ok, fine.

Which one of you Governors would like to have a basically-zero Covid rate? Which one of you would like to be the State with the lowest rate of coronavirus disease, a collapsed health-care burden (to near-zero) and a collapsed rate of death too.

How would you like to see this start to happen within two weeks and be so apparent every news stations has to report on it within a month?

Here's how -- which, if you read when I put this forward, was something I promoted in early December of 2020.

It costs about $2 per person in a household.

It's simple: For anyone suspected (test results not back yet) you dispense to them five doses of Ivermectin to be taken every day if they are obese or otherwise morbid, and every second day if not along with one dose per every two days for everyone in the household, calibrated by their weight. Everyone in the household also gets ten days of a 1,000mg Vitamin C tablet and ten days of 30mg of Zinc, both dietary supplements. The exception is anyone on a blood thinner; you simply ask and, if they are, they don't get the drug (but do get the supplements.)

The State buys the drug in bulk, from India if you have to (fly a charter over there to pick it up; **** the Feds) and dispenses it.

Why?

Read the linked article. This is is not just about treatment; it is also about cutting off forward transmission of the virus. It will not work every time but it doesn't have to work every time -- just often enough to suppress Rt below 1.0 and the virus dies out.

The risk of someone having a serious adverse event from this is 1 in 600,000. If Florida has ten percent of their population that gets infected (or suspected to be) or is in a household with someone who is over the next three months (improbably high, but let's go with it) that would be a cost of about $5 million. For Alabama it would cost about a million. That's it.

Who's got the stones to do this?

Whoever does it first and collapses their Covid-19 case, hospitalization and death rate is President in 2024 -- that is, if the other 49 States don't have their residents lay siege to DC and their State governments as soon as they see the first State's results.

It won't work? Yes it will -- it did in a State in India too with over 200 million people.

Grow a set, governors. The Federal Government cannot prevent you from doing this.

Great idea, but remember, Biden has F-15s and he says he's not afraid to use them.

Those planes full of Ivermectin may be forced to land at Guantanamo. I wouldn't put it past our demented president and his cabal of thieves.

Meh.

Biden ain't going to be able to do **** about that.

Further, I have some bad news for the Feds -- pharmacy licensing is STATE BASED.

Which means the Governor can issue an E/O and stop the bull**** instantly and the legislature can shut it down permanently as well.

They should have done this before the monoclonal antibodies and they know it. They won't do it because they will be mercilessly crucified by the MSM and Feds. I can imagine the headlines saying governors are giving horse medicine to their citizens. They will do everything to obfuscate any successful data.

They will need balls of steel to do this because there is a good chance it's political suicide even if it worked. We live in a ****ed up world indeed.

They won't do it @Winesorbet for an entirely different reason.

They all PREACH conservatism and hating Biden but the truth?

They are ALL on their knees giving head to Pfizer, Moderna and other pharma firms. ALL OF THEM.

Balls of steel? For two weeks? Let the media crucify whatever they want, along with Biden and the FDA. When the results show up it won't matter what anyone says.

I have a question: if 60 mg per day is all the vitamin C the body needs, what good does it do to take more than 10 times as much? Wouldnt you just******the excess? Or does the body use a lot more than 60 mg when you are sick?

So, let me see if I got this right: the feds are restricting a state's access to important medication that will keep people out of the hospitals, when there's no shortage. When Alabama's hospitals are strained, they're probably going to argue this is why people need to get vaccinated, and ignore the fact it's their ******n restriction on medicine which caused this.

Why the ever loving **** should anyone ever listen to the feds after this bull**** stunt?

Exactly right. No one can hide the results once the infection rate drops to nearly zero like it did in India. Florida has a population around 22 million. At India's rate, you'd have something like 18 cases TOTAL in the state. If that doesn't get you elected, nothing will.

Lots of home run articles! Thanks.
Will monoclonal antibodies trigger one to have natural immunity to future infection?

I just talked with Desantis. He agrees with El Jefe and he is implementing his plan on Monday morning.

As an aside, I also just spoke with four members of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and they are heading to Tennessee to spend the weekend with El Jefe. They have certain skills and they read the Ticker every day and want to show their appreciation to El Jefe.

Be on the lookout El Jefe.

This paper:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34308537....

says:

Conclusions: Low serum vitamin D levels are statistically significantly associated with the risk of COVID-19 infection. Supplementation of vitamin D especially in the deficiency risk groups is indicated.

So, the thing any responsible government should have done is to distribute D3 and K2 to all citizens!

Problem solved!

And now this from the DeSantis team:
Quote:
More than half of the individuals seeking life-saving monoclonal antibody treatment are fully vaccinated individuals news that comes as the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Biden administration cut the supply of the treatment to Southern states.

Blanca,

I will look, but I seem to remember the studies are that monoclonal antibodies DO NOT give long lasting immunity.

When one uses ivermectin as a prophylactic does one never get covid and thus not develop antibodies or does one get a mild case and develop antibodies?

@Crew - Locking down was real good for people wasn't it? Incidentally treatment with high-dose Vit-D in-hospital didn't do much (statistically null) so if the correlation has causative properties you need to have solved the problem BEFORE you get infected.

@Whossane - Don't know. But -- I would not use it long-term prophylactically FOR THAT VERY REASON. BUT -- if KNOWN exposed (not suspected) then yes. Will it work every time? No. Does it have to? NO. The point of public health is to cut Rt down below 1.0; if you do that then you have a nuisance, not an epidemic.

Excellent idea TG. Why can't the state in question hire all the un-vaxxed medical staff recently let go to implement the program?

Open up state funded medical clinics to prescribe the IVM and bypass the medical cartel entirely.

Maaaaaybe ... when revenues are cut off ... the hospitals will come to their senses and start helping patients again.

@Redjack the question isn't whether the Mabs give you durable immunity it's whether it prevents your immune system from developing a durable immunity. Same could be asked about Ivm. Since the Mabs aren't provided until the body is infected, the immune system has been roused. The Mabs act as a treatment, same as any anti-viral treatment. I'd assume that your immune system will be better equipped to deal with the virus, in the least.

Bingo! Exactly.

DeSantis either wants to save his state (and this country) or he has actually already sold out.

@TG, in the event the Feds continue to interfere with the delivery of Mabs through normal commercial channels would a governor be theoretically empowered to permit an in-state pharmaceutical company to manufacture them despite any Federal patent protection? I imagine a lab could figure out what's in them and duplicate the formula. That'd be a very bold move and escalate a potential **** show, but I'd think Big Pharma wouldn't be happy to see a state do an end around their outrageous profiteering.

The state would likely lose on patent preemption as that's a delegated power.

Bret Weinstein was on Tucker Carlson last night and talked about Ivermectin. I looked for a clip but couldn't find one on youtube. At least it's getting some national attention in a positive way. He was a little timid talking about taking it but maybe Carlson will get more on it too, he sure sounded interested.
