Zero Hedge has an article up that CDC director REDFIELD: "I'm not going to comment about the president...but these face masks are the most powerful public health tool we have. I appeal to all Americans to embrace these face coverings."

WTF? CDC has had articles as late as last year that masks were ineffective. The question I have is Cui Bono?

CDCs website states that masks are ineffective against smoke particles, which if Im not mistaken, ate several times larger than viral particles. He is a POS masquerading as a knowledgeable physician.

Youre a guy and were wearing a hat indoors? The prevalence of this behavior is one of the evils of modern society IMO.

Nice job otherwise, though.

Beaver: Hey Wally, you know how Dad has taught us to never wear a hat indoors?

Wally: Yeah

Beaver: Well, is it OK to wear a hat inside if you have to get somewhere before they close, and you are a mess and didn't have time to shower?

Wally: Sure Beav. You should look as clean as you can under the given circumstances is what Dad would tell us.

Beaver: Yeah, that's sorta what I thought too, but what about the nosy know-it-all who judges what you do?

Wally: Well, they probably don't bath as much as they should, and don't realize they stink.

Beaver: Yeah, I see what you mean...about stinking. Gee, thanks Wally.

Wally: Sure Beav.

Ward: Beaver, it's time to take your bath...

Been trying to get people to see the light since I started reading the Ticker in late 2008. I would have a better chance at getting a dog to read a book... I fully understand why you've pretty much stopped even though I really enjoy reading your writing as I often learn new things. It has been and will be missed.

While I should be surprised at how easy it is to manipulate people, it's been demonstrated too often throughout history to a point where it seems we have only become easier to manipulate, like we want it, like we need it...

Who the **** "drains the swamp" by filling it with 5x as much money as the swamp filling "Deep Stater Bushy Jr"?

"Oh but he's going to get us on the gold standard..."

While pushing low interest rates and inflated stock markets as 'we have a great economy" indicators?

That guy, going to the gold standard??

Bwahahahahahahaha.

And I thought liberals were stupid for falling for Obama....

Redfield is a POS and has ZERO credibility as far as I'm concerned. Watch the link I posted last night about scientists fabricating data and then think of his fat ass face knowing that he did the same dog damned thing working on AIDS vaccines back in 1994.

He's at best a disgrace for a scientist and I really have no clue how he ended up as the director of the CDC.

https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shot....
Quote:
Yet one of the whistleblowers who first raised the matter to the Army told Kaiser Health News this week that he remains so troubled about Redfield's handling of the vaccine research that he has decided to speak out publicly.

And....

@Exelitepwrlftr -- thanks for posting that video as it makes a point that i was pondering for the past few days.

We here are lamenting the lack of "science" in the handling of this crisis and other major issues. A point that i often make is that people, especially the internet generation, have constant examples of the historical facts of wrongdoings and bull****. If people believe that everything is subject to being a lie or scam, what can they assume as truth without using massive personal energies to analyze data if they can get it. It becomes a full time job not being scammed.

This is nothing new as the afoementioned video posting shows. The 1980s were a time of vast government spending and inflation. Some look back on them wishing we were still there, others know that they were the template for later and greater in magnitude scams. They had a tech bull**** bubble, a subsequent S&L crisis had its stage set. Over the counter **** in the stock market got its start. The education and university system bubble was started. Anyone who was a student of the eighties could see the repeat and greater magnitude of later mirror crises. A mutual fund maven actually wrote a book showing this human nature repeat pattern and how to look for it. A money worshiping culture was locked into place. BTW they had a climate scam too. When was Fauci also plying his trade?

Anyone can look at an earlier era and see who still has his job and massive economic success and lifestyle. It gets even better when the internet and yes, some media in the past, illustrate how those who were honest, diligent and moral were destroyed.

The earlier era of the modern economic consumer age is the not just the history, but an instruction manual on how to repeat the process or at least not get burned.

If there were scams everywhere, it would have been logical for those with scientific talents but lower levels of morals to gravitate towards money wells and opportunities for dishonesty. Policing mechanisms do not work well when money is flying around in an illogical fashion as even the good people are distracted. Many a professional, including those outside of science, lamented at the time that professionalism was gone and it was only about money to keep up with the consumer cultural expectations. No one wanted to miss out.

Thus, with the above we have a few generations. Those who profited from this earlier era, know how and continue if possible further refining their techniques. Those who lived through it have resentments often bitterness and do not trust anything. Of these people some figured out their own hacks or how to play along. Then we have a younger generation who lived with self-centeredness and the destruction of many things while viewing with disrespect their elders letting it happen. A lot of this generation discovered the internet in later life and got the truth of many things which they already intuitively understood. They also got blamed for a lot in the illogical way that the truly responsible see their own sins in the image of their descendants as opposed to a mirror. Finally a generation discovered both the knowledge and hopelessness of the previous generation who was more than happy to feed it to them through this new media. This last generation would be most of what is called the millennial.

Never before in history has a society had to deal with a generation who could call bull**** before they leave the house unescorted. Not recently has a society had to deal with previous generations who consider things unfix-able and only go along to get along at best usually preferring to figure out how to get in on the scam. The one defining characteristic of generation X is that they are either angry and mediocre or got in on the same scams that they resented, both very knowledgeable. No one trusts anything including science. It sounds great having a society where no one is anyone's fool, but societies are built on the belief in certain basic things that one can trust. Go into practically any occupation or business and the early and constant lessons are in how to be dishonest and steal to make things work. Essentially no one trusts anyone and organizations function essentially like gangs, including science. Gangs have a certain dynamic among which are individual concern, temporary alliances of convenience and power plays. Gangs are not societies or professional societies.

The public essentially feels that everything is witchcraft at best. Asking them to accept science is subject to dismissal. The only way in a low trust society for people to decide what to do is who is in power. The rule is go along to get along. Most know that masks are bull**** and that such is a lot of medicine. Do you think that people are going to risk themselves, including the young high testosterone males, knowing from an early age that this is the way that things work. Additionally since our society is essentially a gang culture, no one is going to risk his well being for others who he knows do not give a **** about him.

Guaranteed that every university student of the past thirty years knew that a lot of their professors (including in the sciences) were dishonest and frauds or that the politically correct nonsense was a game to be followed. These same adults now know that nothing can be trusted. So we wish them to accept "science" simply because it is written here?

In a way the good of the internet (and some forms of media in its golden era of reporting) did a horrible thing. People to a large degree did not believe in things long enough to invest in the morality system only to have a chance to be bitter or perhaps perpetuate some of it.

Then there is rule by example. Those of us that stand for something, look in the mirror. Of course there is self-respect in some cases, but to an outside observer holding to one's morals is a way of depriving oneself under the current paradigm. What looks more desirable?

Perhaps a strong point of the Millennials is that where they do this they accept the mediocrity, failure to live up to potential and the critique of other by not becoming that which they learned to despise at an early age. It could be said that this is a monastic existence for them and many others of earlier generations. If evil is the only path to success, do as little as humanly possible to maintain integrity. I personally know many who do the most mundane things in spite of natural ability, discipline and ethic. They are at peace with themselves by not living the lies.

The public is not accepting witchcraft (as Karl uses the term here) as much as it is rejecting witchcraft (as Karl uses the term). Science and purveyors of truth are considered practitioners of witchcraft. They know that so much is conjuring and bull**** that nothing can be trusted. The game is played by people to the minimum degree necessary depending upon their wants, needs and desires. The problem is that with some overlaps from the 80s one generation played to win, next not to lose, the final not to win with probably the highest morality.

The first lines of that instruction manual mentioned above:

Do not trust anyone or anything.

Everything is subject to being witchcraft.

Cast the spell or be under the spell. Your choice.

Whoops, Comrade Mayor Cooper got busted lying? You don't say?

https://fox17.com/news/local/covid-19-em....

He took Nashvegas from Lockdown Level 3 to Lockdown Level 2 July 4th weekend with an "outbreak" of 19 cases from 5 bars and 3 cases from one restaurant. Then they tried really, really hard to lie to a reporter from, of all places, the Tennessean.

Texts of emails are more easily found on twitter in places like this https://twitter.com/JohnCooper4Nash/stat....

Bonus giggles was seeing Ben Shapiro re-tweeting Larry The Cable Guy's tweet on the matter.

The drama at the Mayor's office this morning is probably epic. Too bad they didn't live stream it. Pay per view probably would eliminate the budget black hole for the county.

When I see Nashvegas citizens show up with their pickup trucks stacked full of wood, start unloading, cutting and putting up a gallows (or guillotine, pick one) in front of that *******'s office I'll be impressed.

Free speech and all; arguing with the symbolism will be a bit.... difficult.

The time is serendipitous considering I've registered to speak on the county mask mandate at the Commission meeting Monday. I wonder if Mayor Waters is ****ting in his pants at his revelation coming just a few days in advance, knowing full well that I've got it and am going to use it.

Pucker up buddy -- I bought up all the KY in town just to make sure there's nothing but good old-fashioned Tennessee clay for you to use as lube.

Probably not on livestream. I will tape at least the audio on my phone. I would utterly LOVE IT if someone would show up with a video recorder that could make a quick stop by the local pub afterward, transfer to me the video of it and then I could process it and put up on YouSlob, but since Sarah is still traveling I do not have someone I can press into service as a sidekick who has a decent clue of how to use such gear.

That's a damn pity too because I'd love to have it.

The former, on the other hand, has plenty of good reasons.

Thanks Karl, just curious.

@Tonythetiger -- appreciate the Sky News video link. It fuels the one thing that i constantly bring up. People are going to use the revelation of the truth not to revolt. Once again, they already know deep down inside. This is the justification for all of the graft, corruption and outright theft that is going to occur over the next two decades. Anyone who has lost anything due to this crisis is going to feel justified doing just about anything to even the score. And, people always overshoot. There are not enough tax agents, compliance officers and other rules and code compliance officers to mitigate what people are going to do. Expect illegal businesses, tax avoidance, welfare fraud, insurance fraud, employee theft, prostitution, screw thy neighbor, evil, just name it. There is going to be dishonesty up and down the chain. Expect people to make false claims in lawsuits against institutions or threaten to get groups together absent a payoff.

People are not going to revolt and want to hold people responsible. They want their lives and cash back, and there is not enough cash in the govt coffers to do such. They also know that civil servants and politicians are for all practical purposes immune.

Law, order and public morals are ****ed from this point forward. You think that it was bad before this crisis; you are in for one hell of a surprise.

Some will get caught, but the vast majority will not.

Two wrongs often do make people think that things are right.

@Whitehat, Apparently some are using it in a positive way these days based on what I've seen. However, at least how my group used it, back in the day it was mocking how Nashville thought they were the happening place ala Las Vegas. Maybe it's a Tennessee thing. Apparently we have "Knoxvegas" ie Knoxville, "Chattavegas" ie Chattanooga and even "Cookevegas" ie Cookeville. Plenty of names for Memphis too, but I've never heard "Memphvegas" used to refer to that hellhole.

@Whitehat wrote "If people believe that everything is subject to being a lie or scam, what can they assume as truth without using massive personal energies to analyze data if they can get it. It becomes a full time job not being scammed."

A straightforward solution is a radically smaller federal govt with the power left to the States. Then it becomes feasible to move to a neighboring State with different policies that are working.

The majority of people in either of the two big political parties don't want smaller federal govt, just to have their guy/gal as king.
Like the Chinese, people in USA are finding it difficult to move somewhere that is actually different within the nation.

How to meaningfully reduce size of federal govt? On a personal level, stop voluntarily contributing taxes. Then find a "State's rights" issue like MJ. And there are avenues within the financial/payments structures, though this would take considerable focus and effort. And simply get involved at the local political level (the Patri-nuts talk big on the forums yet can't seem to show up at the local political level).

Since the federal govt can spend whatever it desires, younger Americans would be right to conclude older people ALLOWED this to happen. So they shouldn't be blamed for understanding it's over, and to simply get along and allow the birth rates to collapse.

@Whitehat, my experience is that powerful gangs have control of the judicial system in several subject matter areas.
I documented a county attorney making multiple lies to State's Court of Appeals. It's difficult to get any reprimands. The club protects it's own.

@TG thanks for the forum and your writings. May you enjoy the time off.

Oh Good Lord it wasn't a solicitation!

And I just had the Nastyville disclosure dropped in my lap. It's nuclear, as there's no possibility given the TN DOH inherent and detailed involvement in contract tracing they did not know.

This is a literal nuclear-waste level scandal; I had a suspicion that it was floating out there for the simple reason is that the math didn't work on what we had happening .vs. what we were being told. You can't get there from here when we're a heavily-tourist, hospitality county yet we have a death and serious disease rate identical or less than the flu, if any MATERIAL percentage of spread was happening in such environments. No ****ing way. Sevier would have been FLATTENED while other counties with far less tourist involvement (e.g. Cocke) would have been spared. Nope.

And now we know FACTUALLY that Nashville (Davidson) KNEW that hospitality-business spread was a statistical ZERO and worse, that FECAL SPREAD was SEVERELY implicated and deliberately hid both from the public.

Karl, I am a Loudon County resident as of Saturday and should be able to make the trip and record for you assuming the meeting is open to residents of other counties.

I don't have much for equipment beyond a smartphone and a GoPro (and maybe a tripod somewhere if needed) but if that works I'd be happy to help. Feel free to reach out via Email or PM and let me know what you have in mind.
