Epstein: Did I Get This Right?

So let me see if I have this right.

You bust a notorious serial pedophile after evidence of corruption in letting him go with a slap on the wrist 10 years ago surfaces.

You raid his house in the process of this bust and find evidence of continuing criminal sexual activity related to children -- specifically, you find alleged child pornography in his home.  Possession of this material is a serious criminal act.  Transportation of that material across a state line, which essentially had to occur for it to be there given where some of the acts allegedly took place, is a serious federal offense standing alone.

Said person is known to have had a "black book" and other associations that appears (but is not yet proved) to finger dozens of high-profile executives, billionaires, and government officials both here and in other nations, including royalty and an ex-President, in the sexual trafficking and abuse of young girls. Some of these allegations, but by no means all, were raised in a related civil case that a court ordered unsealed.

Said person allegedly tries to commit suicide shortly after being taken into custody, and fails.

You do not put said person under 24x7 individual secured watch to both prevent a second attempt or an "assisted attempt" on an immediate, right now, permanent basis until he can be brought forward to trial.

Uh huh.

Really?

I'm supposed to believe Barr is "shocked" at these events?

Really?

Barr didn't bother making damn sure on a personal basis, as the Attorney General of the United States, that a person who is arguably the most-notorious abuser of young girls ever arrested in the history of the United States, and who has fingered myriad rich and powerful people by both evidence and implication, all of which needs to be run into the ground and might well be during said trial, when said accused people include both foreign royalty and an ex President of the United States, is not kept absolutely safe and secure in such a manner as to preclude any possibility of him killing himself (since he already tried it once) or anyone else, of which there are many that I'm sure would like him dead, from killing him?

I'm supposed to believe that?

Let me just put one example out here: Acosta is on the record, albeit "informally", saying that he was told to back off in the original prosecution because Epstein was an "asset." To Barr: Who's asset and who told Acosta that?  Names.  In public.  Right ****ing now, jackass.  You think Barr missed that?  I sure as hell didn't.

Go **** a goat folks; this is so outrageously blatant and the list of people fingered as allegedly involved so long and distinguished that if you actually believe that this was anything other than intentional you do not deserve the oxygen you consume.

The United States as a nation, and the credibility in all respects of it's so-called "law enforcement" is finished.

Google Epstein conspiracy. The MSM is already in turbo-mode trying to discredit sensible questions like those you raise here.

Do you ever feel like our government is just trolling us?

From Epstein to Rachel it seems that the government just does whatever the hell it wants.

This is all going to be okay...the FBI has been given the job to investigate this mess. I'm sure that those un-corruptible stalwarts of truth and justice will get to the bottom of this poor, sick man's "suicide" (sarcasm tags and emojis just aren't enough to cover this post, so I won't even try)

You've got it all wrong.

They saved the United States.

They protected its citizens from the revelation of a far reaching scandal that involved bribery and manipulation of men at the highest levels of wealth and power.

The country simply could never survive that shock, let alone the loss of so many individuals of such extreme intelligence and ability. They should be considered a vital national asset, regardless off their crimes (Kind of like the Nazi scientists we used to develop the bomb).

That's what they believe, anyway. As much as it makes us want to vomit.

Like the leaders in Silicon Valley, they not only believe they have the right to think for us, they believe it's their responsibility.

It wasn't just Jeffy that croaked in that cell. The concept of "And Justice For All" died too, unless it's just me that was to stupid to not realize it was already dead.

I dont think anyone is buying this, left or right. Maybe MSM, with the conspiracy theory stories. The comments on dailykos question it. Hopefully, the public is waking up. Perhaps we will declare the official narratives unacceptable and demand we go fully down the rabbit hole. I suspect we will not like what we find, but we cannot fix a problem without first recognizing it.

Perhaps.

Like any real story that is a threat, the media spins and buries those as quickly as possible. And the agendas they want to push, get wall to wall coverage.

That being said, nobody could ever believe an FBI investigation is anything but a suppression of evidence and a silencing of witnesses operation. We've all seen this movie before, too many times. They start with their desired outcome and work backwards to achieve it.

Non prosecution agreements (which should be illegal), the collusion with the defense, the laughable claim that Jeffrey was too rich to prosecute successfully with all his money and first rate legal team (as though the government doesn't have unlimited resources and is incapable of fielding competent attorneys) which caused them to cave is laughable, as the prosecution always has the upper hand.
Every prosecutor involved in the original case (Acosta is the only name fed to the public),is being shielded, should be prosecuted and jailed for fixing the case, for conspiracy, for violating the letter of the law. Why is that obvious action not now being proposed anywhere. Since the case was fixed, all of the men who had sex with these girls should now be prosecuted criminally as well.

Another thing I find curious (actually more "telling" than "curious") is that this comes so closely on the heels of formal assertions by the FBI that anyone who believes in "conspiracy theories" should be viewed as being a potential extremist/terrorist/whatever. It's almost as if they were trying to front-run the speculation that was certain to follow Epstein's "suicide".

That in itself further strengthens my suspicions that 1.) this was a "hit" orchestrated by some powerful person(s) and 2.) that had the Epstein case been allowed to play out fully, huge swaths of important/powerful people both in and out of gov't (to include the FBI/DOJ) would have been exposed.

Tinfoil alert: a little part of me wonders, this is all so freaking blatant, so on the nose - suicide watch lifted a few hours earlier, left unattended for hours, cameras mysteriously malfunctioning - could it be an attempt to keep Epstein alive, by faking his death?

I think when two or three generations out folks look back at what triggered "the whole thing" it will be this. It's more over-the-top than taking out JFK even as we're in 24/7 news and largely uncensored instant global internet communication. That means nobody really buys into MSM-storylines anymore, especially not since Clinton v. Trump, fake crowds, fake polling, and all other "perception is reality" fails. I go back to the other guy though, getting a Nobel Prize just for "being". That's where the gap between perception and reality began to get too wide for more than a handful of internet crazies hiding out in their respective parent's basements.

What's "the whole thing", you ask? It's the complete and total breakdown of society at the line of "trust us" to protect you, the confidence we all have that somebody out there is keeping it all in check. Sure here we know that's not the case. 85% of regular ZH readers know too. But before today's headline, probably 65% or more over the age of 45 didn't. That's what now cracking, the audacity of just shutting the whole thing down like this...it's not Vince Foster in the 90s anymore.

I say "good", let's get this thing going already.

I called this **** two weeks ago to friends, told them he was dead, it was just a matter of time.

He had too much dirt on too many people, going all the way to the top of both parties.

I don't believe Trump or Clinton or Acosta or Dershowitz or any one of these bastards have clean hands, they either were ****ing the girls, or they knew about it and did nothing for years.

I've said it before, don't expect anything from Barr. He is most likely compromised as well...he's spent too long in DC to be in the AG position and not be under some form of control.
