So the Saudis blame Iran for a drone attack eh?

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Saudi Arabia accused Tehran of being behind a drone strike that shut down a key oil pipeline in the kingdom, and a newspaper close to the palace called for Washington to launch “surgical” strikes on Iran, raising the specter of escalating tensions as the U.S. boosts its military presence in the Persian Gulf.

Washington (that would be the United States) ought to launch strikes on Iran because Saudi Arabia believes Iran bombed KSA?

Well, I have a solution to this problem: The House of Saud can formally deed over KSA to the Untied States.  Then the attack would have been on US territory and what was destroyed would be American property.  We would then be justified in striking back.

Up until then they can go **** goats; if they want to hit Iran they can do it themselves.  They certainly have plenty of both men and material to do it with.  They can take the consequences of doing it too, including potentiating a war, during which we will sit back and watch the fireworks from nicely beyond minimum safe distance.

I personally do not care if the crazies over there all blow each other to Mars.  We have utterly no business shooting anything at anyone until and unless our material, people or territory are attacked.  Now if Iran decides it's going to take a shot at one of our military ships, well, then I say flatten them.  Now.

But if Iran wants to shoot at other people's territory that's on them -- and between them and the other people.  It's not our issue, it's not our property, it's not out money and it's not our people being shot at.

Oh, and KSA is not our friend either.

If we'll go to war with 2-3 other countries in defense of the KSA's citizens killing 3k of our citizens, why the HELL would you think we wouldn't if they were DIRECTLY attacked.

Seems like a no-brainer to me. Better get out of the way of the pen speeding toward the signing of a deceleration of war.

It's justifiably immoral to deal morally with an immoral entity.

How convenient. More sanctions against Iran. Trump claiming Saudis would make up the difference in oil from that region. And now "an attack" on Saudi pipelines.

Who are the real rats here? Sounds like an easy excuse to escalate prices.

KSA may have been attacked, and they may have tens of billions in spiffy weapons bought from us, but they can't strike back themselves - as they're obligated to do in self-defense.

The problem is that their dresses keep getting caught in the controls; we can expect a lawsuit over this lack of cultural accommodation for different needs in the weaponry we sold them.

@Ptjim - All you have to do is shape the "fire" button like the vagina of a goat, and they will have no problem manipulating it.

We can do similar things for the throttle (sheep vulva) and other, similar necessary controls (e.g. human *******.)

Winding it down.

I think it'd be a tremendously entertaining match.

KSA: Inbred goat-****ers with all the toys their oil money could buy them.

Iran: Them Persians are smart. There's a lot of them and they can figure out how to do cool **** like math, science and technology without wypipo assisting.

Don't start the war until I get back with the chips and salsa... oh, and popcorn for the kid. Anyone else want something from the store text me before I get to the checkout.

I don't think the match would be all that entertaining. I'd wager that Iran would wipe the floor with the Saudi Army.

The Saudi Army is a joke, probably not all that better than a ceremonial parade army. It's mainly a vehicle to funnel money to distant royal family members via appointed military commissions. Then they flesh out the ranks with African mercenaries propped up by Western "advisors". I wouldn't trust the Saudi Army to guard my unattended shopping cart at the grocery store, much less try to take on a very legitimate force, like the IRGC, toe to toe.

And, its also a vehicle for the Saudis to recycle Petrodollars back into the US economy via procurements.

Even with Western intelligence, advisors, and the unleashing of carpet bombardment bordering on war crimes, they're still stuck in an unwinnable slog in Yemen against far more irregular forces. Thinking that this force would have any sort of success stepping foot into the Iranian mainland is a pipe dream.

Saudi citizens won't get off their ass to do any sort of "real work". They'd probably pay some south Asian wage slave to hold their peckers for them while they take a leak, if they could. Same philosophy goes towards who they can motivate to fight for them... basically, North African mercenaries.

There is a Saudi military force that does have some better esprit de corps, and ability... I believe they refer to it as the National Guard. This force actually CAN fight, and is the private army of the Royal Family. This is the force specifically trained and equipped to quash INTERNAL coups, rebellions, or other forms of civil disobedience against the House of Saud. But, this force doesn't have the logistics chain to do expeditionary warfare.

All of the above is why I'm convinced that the Saudis want to suck us back into the region. And, just my amateur opinion, I think John Bolton is their shill.
