The talks have collapsed, according to multiple sources.

Why?

Because the DemonCraps insisted on reducing the capacity of federal holding centers for illegal invaders, forcing their release into America where they often disappear.

The number of beds needs to be increased to cover however many people need to be held until they are determined to either be eligible to process asylum or not.  Those facilities are inadequate today for the current load and reducing them further is an act of seditious conspiracy against the government and law of the United States.

It is a fact that the left never intended to negotiate in good faith.  Their intention was to tear down all constraints on illegal invaders; in fact their "Green New Deal" explicitly names income and health care as rights that all persons in the United States may claim irrespective of whether they are citizens, green card holders or here legally at all.

That, standing alone as a formally-introduced resolution in the US House is proof of their malfeasance and intent to incite an all-on fiscal collapse in this nation -- or even worse, civil war.

For those who still believe Trump did not cave on the government shut down, please explain how our country is better off because he lifted the shut down for 21 days without getting anything in return?

It is not that there are officials on both sides of the isle who are incapable of working out a solution, it is they are bought and paid for, they are purposefully working against America's best interest.

They are facilitating an invasion of foreigners into our country to take all that is not nailed down can. If the******and impregnation of American's on American soil is not enough to make this clear, can someone explain how the******and impregnation of American children is not a national emergency.

I say reduce the bed size of the detention facilities from 40k to 1k, we accept only those who are in a true humanitarian crisis, children first (Their family purposefully endangered them, so children only) next women (if there is room) and no males. The men can transport themselves women and children to our borders, they can fend for themselves.

Mexico enabled people to cross THEIR country, so no aid for them, they allowed it, they pay for the consequences.

Do away with any thought of a wall and allow the military to shoot to kill anyone invading our country as an enemy combatant. If you choose to continue anyway you risk your life.

Because it is _now_ on the Democrats. As in, "I tried to negotiate, they will not."

Detention facilities? How about ZERO K. Get finger printed and iris scanned and back to Mexico with you until your hearing comes up. Let Mexico feed the invaders.

Build the wall. Build it tall and solid. None of this bull**** electronic sensor crap. Close and LOCK the door to our house. Maybe with a no man zone full of land mines on the other side, too.

With a solid wall, they have to invade through the gates.

Anyone that believed the left would negotiate is a complete idiot. They love playing the victim and will keep pushing their open border agenda as far as they can. For those folks that think the GOP has any chance in hell in keeping the Senate or presidency in 2020, they need to wake up now. Just look at every proposal the left is throwing out and you have the Eu. Open borders, massive crime and rape, and billions paid out in welfare, Medicaid and food stamps.
Anyone that isn't properly armed and hasn't planned for a depression, should do so now. Everything the left is proposing will make all the money printing completely worthless and we will see massive inflation on everything. Get your guns and ammo while you still can. Invest in some long term food with water filters and other prepping supplies.
These wing nuts are going to destroy this country and if you are living in a heavily populated area, you will be the first one that is hit. Every day they propose more and more insanity. I just saw that NJ is going to impose a rain tax on the residents. Is an air tax next?

Both Democrats and Republicans want the cheap labor from illegal and legal immigrants. What better way to keep the status quo in place that to keep negotiating and have negotiations break down, rinse and repeat without ever coming to an agreement. This has been going on since Reagan was in office.

As Karl has pointed out time and time again there's a very, very simple way to curtail illegal immigration. Lock up anyone and everyone who employs an illegal. No jobs, no reason to come here. As a business owner, there's no way I'm going to risk my business, livelihood, and freedom to employ an illegal. Just like in healthcare, if you start locking people who are benefiting from the illegality, the behavior will stop very quickly.

All this back and forth nonsense between the parties, Congress, and the President is about maintaining a low-cost labor pool, capping wages and maximizing profits. Nothing more.

Aztrader - We in Maryland have had a rain tax for six years. The premise being that it discourages road pollutants entering the bay. The problem is that the water is now holed up in dry ponds and people avoid paving which cause the bay to increase in salinity. Now the crabs can't cope with that and a bushel of crabs cost $350. Now I hear weeping libs complain that they can't eat crabs. Too bad. Worst of it is that they coded having barrels on downspout of new construction. When the owners sued stating that their building was not contributing to runoff they lost the case. There is nothing but destruction from these folks.

the plan is on global level and consists in the transfer of large number of people from poor countries into rich countries.

this is not about cheap labor. it is social engineering on a grand scale.

in europe we are being told that this is the future, and to get used to it.

this will not stop, until people will stop it. and not by voting.

Emupaul - There are children being brought against their will, children being exploited, who are living in extremely unsanitary conditions. A thousand bed facility to care for these children, educate them that once they become adults and they do things right they MIGHT be able to come to this country legally.

Get them well and make an attempt to get them back to family in their country of origin. If no family will claim them, than an orphanage of their country of origin. Care for the child, transport the child home and nothing beyond that, nothing for family members or the orphanage.

If the only choices were shutting the border down to zero or the continued destruction of our nation I would chose zero. But the option to help the truly innocent is available, it should be considered.

True.

However, NOT as national policy funded by taxpayers. That's what charities are for. We should let charities do what charities are supposed to do or, if they don't, we should end the current system of tax breaks for charities.

Peterm99 - Charities like the Catholic Church or the Clinton foundation? The Democrats continue to push thier agenda and are relying on our continued belief in thier lies and complacency to let them act as they wish.

Ignoring this, which most people choose to do won't help.

The goverment to a free society should not be in the business of picking who wins and who loses, that I agree with. But turning over children to the likes of the Catholic Church sure isn't the answer.

I believe the first adult trying to break into our country who takes a bullet to the head, will slow the flow of illegals way down. Thus eliminating most of those using children as props. Which forces the real parents of these children to file for immigration status the right way. Which then makes it a National security policy.

We do not take in or house any of the children who will be left behind, we only attempt to find actual family members or put them in orphanages in their country of origin. Anything more only invites abuse.

I am not nieve enuff to not know there is still going to be tons of way to take advantage of any system. But what we need to do is stop this insane invasion.

Mangymutt -

The question of which "charities" are real and/or worthwhile and which ones are just criminal enterprises and/or scams taking advantage of the tax structure is certainly a topic worthy of discussion, but not necessarily here, and I am not inclined to waste my time doing so, anyway.

My feeling is that gov't has no business being in the charity game, not even for US citizens, and most especially not for foreigners. Even if charity were to be provided by gov't, it is certainly a slippery slope, as evidenced by the large percentage of the population that is more or less permanently reliant on one form or another of gov't charity (no matter what they happen to call it), whether it be welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing, etc., etc., etc. If we were to provide charity to foreigners as a matter of gov't policy, where would that end up?

In any event, forcing citizens to pay for "charity" at gunpoint (via tax collections) and deficits is morally repugnant, IMO, and is certainly NOT one of the allowable activities of gov't defined in the Constitution.
