If I were indifferent to human suffering & death on a mass scale and well outside the proverbial blast radius, I'd cheer for the passing of this whack-a-loonie plan.

We're looking at a full-on collapse of transportation, industry, agriculture, and infrastructure, and the ones who will drop dead and be eaten first are the libtards who support the plan. Maybe it's time for Darwin to do some work, and for folks to realize that actions have consequences.

I do have to wonder just how many of these lunatic politicians are bought and paid for by the Chinese.

i've toyed with the idea since middle of Obama's reign that the (somebody - Communists ? Muslims ? Soros and his One-Worlders? Chinese? Maybe all of them in concert?) were making a worldwide push to take over.

Darned of it doesn't look that way now. Trump was a setback and that's why the democrats went on such a screamfest, they cant deliver on their promise of America and are scrambling now.

I always liked Conspiracy theories. Especially when , like Aether theory, they appear to fit what's observable.

Something is up.

The House of Representatives is the peoples house. The representatives in the house fit the bell curve in terms of intelligence. This is being produced by most that are on the left side of the bell curve and the evil bastards who aren't stupid but are using it as a way to promote themselves.

I also don't believe the New Green Deal has any hope of being implemented. It may pass so that everyone can virtual signal. But when push comes to shove America is the land of business. And as many have pointed out on this thread, the New Green Deal will kill every business in sight. I don't think this will ever happen. Instead, I think the supporters will start having "accidents" or sordid details of past acts will begin to be exposed. Perhaps that's what we need to flush the system. But don't hold your breath.

How about we simple expel all of these idiots and their green agenda. It would be cheaper to buy an island and ship them there. If any of this crap ever gets implemented, our country is done.

After the upcoming recession of 2022, you can bet that America will is plan. Our Kleptocracy / Oligarchy has permitted it as have our wimpy fellow citizens.

Wifi, that was HILARIOUS! Thanks for sharing.

Aerius: "If I were indifferent to human suffering & death on a mass scale and well outside the proverbial blast radius, I'd cheer for the passing of this whack-a-loonie plan."

I think I've reached the point of cynicism and realized that in the end we're all ants in the big scheme of things and if a huge percentage of the ants are wiped out by their own foolishness, then unfortunately that's just part of the process.

Analog: "i've toyed with the idea since middle of Obama's reign that the (somebody - Communists ? Muslims ? Soros and his One-Worlders? Chinese? Maybe all of them in concert?) were making a worldwide push to take over."

Yeah, my wife and I also believe that there are big billionaire "One World Order" sponsors behind all this (open borders, etc.). I've wondered, "Qui bene?" Why? And my guess is that they're pushing for one world so that people will not have the option of leaving one ruler for the preference of the other. Also, lowering labor costs by bringing in cheap labor, and possibly eliminating or lowering import taxes. Probably other benefits for the rulers which I haven't imagined yet.

Gonewest, I also believe that the New Green Deal won't be implemented, and there's a decent chance it might not even pass as the promoters are already back-peddling and even they might see how dumb it really is.

If only! I'd say that the share of stupid is pretty close to a draw with the Rs.

Also, I maintain that the Rs are more Evil than the Ds. At least the Ds are up front about wanting to destroy the BOR (most obviously, the 2nd amendment, but others as well) - the Rs, on the other hand, wrap themselves in the flag and claim to be for preserving the BOR while they gleefully trash the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th amendments.

The Ds are at least out in the open about wanting to screw us; the Rs claim they don't want to screw us, but lie as a matter of policy and screw us anyway.

None of her ideas are new. Kipling saw the same thing coming a century ago:

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!
