One of the first denials from the Broward School District and the sheriff's office was that the Parkland shooter was not part of a "diversion program" that kept kids in trouble from actually acquiring a criminal record.

That program, which Obama put together under what was called "PROMISE", was supposedly only good for interdiction of misdemeanors.  There are many reasons for this, not the least of which (in Florida anyway) is a State Law that makes a felony out of tampering with any felony record -- no matter who does it.

So it thus is legal for a school district and police department, or example, to enter into an agreement that for misdemeanors they won't arrest, the DA won't prosecute and the school won't permanently expel.  It is a felony, however, under Florida Statutes to tamper with any felony record or proceeding that impacts a state agency.  A school, of course, is a state agency.

However, it has been widely reported that felonies were routinely overlooked -- including in Travon Martin's case where he was allegedly caught with sufficient stolen property to likely be considered a felony offense.

Now it comes out that the Broward district lied.

School district spokeswoman Tracy Clark said in a statement that, on Friday, the district analyzed data and confirmed that while Cruz attended Westglades Middle in Parkland in 2013, he was referred to the district’s Promise program for a charge of vandalism or destruction of property of less than $1,000. The offense happened in a school restroom, officials said.

It gets better.

There are no records that he completed the program either, which means he was ineligible to have the original offense for which he was referred dropped.

So the board lied originally, is continuing to dodge the issue and in addition the Sheriff ignored at least one felony reported to them (threatening to shoot a friend and placing a gun to his head while doing so) which, under Florida States, constitutes aggravated assault -- at least.

Yet we're told this is "about guns."

No, it's not.

It's about official misconduct, misprision of felonies, commission of felonies by the school board and Sheriff through tampering with official records and as a direct consequence, 17 deaths.

Oh, and **** you Governor Scott for signing a blatantly unconstitutional gun law before completing the investigation of this matter and without a single arrest by the Executive, which is in fact in charge of the FDLE, for the apparent criminal acts by the school board and Sheriff's office.

Finally, double-**** you to all the students and other political hacks who have advocated for same while intentionally ignoring the acts of both your Sheriff and your school board.

florida was on my list for operation escape from new yuck, not anymore. there is also a second reason closely related to their legal mores. who lives in new york? new yorkers. what do you get when you import a large population of new yorkers? new york. there is no doubt that the northeastern coastal sentiment has been transplanted with the people and the local politicos follow along.

there is a community near mine that was known for solid, old, respectable, farming and fishing people with a strong culture. rich new yorkers and wannabes discovered it over the past three decades. a local real estate broker decrying the change to brutish people with money who treat the original people poorly and messed up local regulation and the legal system quoted his father, "when the people change, the community will change."

sadly, florida is no longer the South, but New York South.

Last week, I passed on a pretty good opportunity in Florida because of the whole mess that is taking shape there.

Instead, I took a less desirable gig in Texas....

Hurt me to pass on Sun, Sand, and Ocean... but I just couldn't "pull the trigger" on it....

The Department of Education is spreading this idiocy across the country. I've read of a murder attributed to the program in Washington state and other states are buying into this program as well. School administrations know this program can be deadly but are willing to sell out student safety for money. There will be more Parklands until this program is eliminated.

Absolutely nothing out of the mainstream media. This is how Obama and Hillary could operate their crimes without anyone knowing. Simply bury it.

It's not just DOE. It's the judicial system.

A 19-year-old on antipsychotics/antidepressants overdosed on his meds, did a hit-and-run, was identified, was charged with CM for hit-and-run and CM for public intoxication. His "Mental Health Diversion Agreement" gave him a hall pass on everything provided he stayed drug and alcohol free for a year, attended training classes, and was not charged with any other CM. Well, he did the latter (CM - Invasion of Privacy) in another county's court system, but I would bet you a dollar the two counties don't compare notes, so he is walking free. Still on meds, still unstable.

These diversion programs should not be allowed, as all they are is keeping unstable, SSRI-taking young adults in the general population with a good likelihood of committing yet more CMs (or worse).

This is happening to Raleigh/Durham as well. It will be but for the grace of God that stupid **** Bezos doesn't pick the Triangle for Amazon HQ2. I hope he puts it in some city already infested with liberals if only to slow the transmission. Colorado was ruined by Californians. Florida was ruined by New Yorkers. Raleigh is on the way. I can already see the signs of Nashville turning in just the last 5 years.

It's like the Walking Dead with liberals moving to all these nice places where it's cheap to live.

@Thomasblair -- it is due to the fact that they take the massive profits from their over inflated real estate and/or their POS govt. worker pensions to a state with low housing costs, low property taxes, low cost of living, low to no local income tax and that does not tax pensions. even if a few of the former variables are not present, they can make a pretty easy retirement life in the transition. unfortunately the states that have the characteristics desirable to freedom lovers become magnets to these rust belt richie riches. a lot of them talk a good game about being good right wing republicans but they are the most spoilt liberals at heart. another casualty of our warped monetary policies.

I see this over and over again in the Blue Ridge area. They move in and an immediately start to advocate for policies that will replicate the socialist **** hole that they left. Since they are retired and have nothing better to do, they start writing letters to the local paper talking about the lack of diversity, the deplorable local gun culture and how it needs to be shut down and "that's not how we did it where I came from." (Then take your sorry pajama boy ass right back where you came from, dumb ****!)
