Johnyb - Thanks for the laugh " This is not about tracking *people*, it's about tracking *news*."

What is the purpose of *news*?

"You forget it is the victors
that get to write/rewrite history."

Technically speaking it is "reportage"
that can be re-written. History itself
can not be "re-written".

These geniuses just destroyed their own arguments. These are not MILITARY grade or assault weapons. Like typical libards they don't even understand the differences. Of course they depend on an ignorant public to further push this down the public's throat.

But, according to the 3/31/2018 update to Mirriam Webster online dictionary:

Quote:
Definition of assault rifle

:any of various intermediate-range, magazine-fed military rifles (such as theAK-47) that can be set for automatic or semiautomatic fire;also:a rifle that resembles a military assault rifle but is designed to allow only semiautomatic fire

If the definition has changed there...
It's coming... That WILL be the definition

This is just creepy as hell. I can't think of a legitimate reason for this ability.

The reason is obvious: To know exactly who opposes any DHS narrative on ANYTHING, ever, potentially in advance.

Gee, when might that be useful?

So, they know opposes them. Maybe Facebook and Google can help out with whatever peculiarities the opposition folks have.

the only concern that DHS has now or in the near future is the flash-mob concept going mainstream if there are localized economic issues or protests that network and become coordinated. by tracking where and by whom the threat is born and nurtured, they know where to interdict. the goal is to neutralize before it gets organized. keeping order and limiting mass appeal of movements is priority especially with war or recession crises coming. the smallest online group active audience is larger by a huge magnitude than the entirety of the tactical forces present in any city. and there is overlap between groups which cross pollinates. think about that for a minute.

DHS should be concerned that twenty thousand people carrying hot dogs, marshmallows and flammables suddenly decide to flash mob their facilities which are trivially easy to find.

This is not going to end well.

Serious shiznat here, folks. What was the Venn diagram type utility a while back that showed your "connections" to other people via email if I recall correctly? That made the hair stand up on my neck, but this?

My we are fooked as if (insert date) timeline just met with some serious compression...

Wow.

@Brendangm..

True. And if a tree falls in the forest and no one can hear does it make a sound - right? What difference will it make if the truth can never again be discerned?

@Captainkidd

Thanks for the 3-31-2018 update. You can see how evil and insiduous these people are and will stop at nothing to subvert the truth. It is nothing but an attempt to further confuse the language. Welcome to the Merrian-Webster Babylon edition - land of confusion. Better remember who it is exactly that Webster consults to give meaning to these words- academia.

Well one can call the color black as white. Because one chooses to subvert the truth and the language does not make it the truth. Everyone is a freaking political activist - including Websters and Snopes.

That publisher is on my ****list. It is now correct because Webster's dictionary says so? So now they are the trusted "authority". Sorry but that card can no longer be punched. If they had done their due diligence and attempted to protect the language of country instead of revising everything as words were misused we wouldn't have many of these same issues now.

Personally I don't give a damn what Webster or any other these asshats have to say. Any one with common sense and experience knows the real difference. It is about function - not form.

My solution is to sell military rifles in hot pink and powder baby blue with rainbow stickers, happy faces, and flowers. This all we need to make these guns less imposing and everyone's friend. We could all wear them as fashion accessories. All will be fine till another vegan shows up at youtube. After all it can't be an assault rifle because it DOES NOT LOOK like an assault rifle - right? /sarc off

When it is all said and done they'll come from slingshots and they'll be the only ones with the armament.

Ready to burn the entire place to the ground. Where's a decent asteroid when you need one.

I think you may be over-reacting to this one.

It could have been great. You know? We could have been building lightsabers and moon bases. Could have developed thorium and game learning. We could have really done something. But nooooooo, let's have a zero-sum battle for dominance over our neighbors, I'm sure that will be much more productive.
