Seems that going to visit this kid in the hospital didn't work, did it Mr. Jackass Sheriff.....

Anthony Borges, 15, who courageously used his body as a human shield to protect other students when the shooter targeted them, getting hit with five bullets and winding up with injuries so severe that he cannot walk, has joined his family to file suit against the Broward County sheriff's office, the school resource officer, the Broward County school system and the principal at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Borges was hit by bullets twice in his right leg, once in his left leg and twice in his torso.

If you recall the Sheriff took "special care" to visit this kid in the hospital.  At the time he was fully aware that he, and the rest of the authorities, had willfully and intentionally ignored multiple criminal acts by the shooter that, had he acted, would have led him to be either incarcerated or put under psychiatric hold -- either of which would have prevented the shooting.

Good for this kid and his family.  May he ram a big one up both the Sheriff's butthole and that of the school district.

The way these things should work, is any judgement, after wiping out the sheriff, the deputies involved, the high school principal, superintendent and school board, the rest needs to come directly out of the police pension fund. If it leaves a few hundred deputies living only on social security, oh ****ing well. That's a better retirement than the dead kids will get.

After this guy is done bankrupting all of those *******s, I hope he goes after the FBI agents who helped in letting that massacre happen.

yea, and the other injustice is that his medical bills have to be so high due to the other broken and unenforced laws.

Don't school districts and public agencies have immunity? Also, with respect to suing individuals within those organizations, I believe they have immunity as well. But I'm not an attorney.

I saw a bit of red when I watched coverage of the kids returning to school and the deputies out there shaking hands and hugging them. Glad I wasn't a parent on-site.
