The American Experiment Has Failed
[Comments enabled]

America was a great political experiment for which most of the Founders paid with their lives, and nearly all of the rest were impoverished and died penniless.

At the time warrantless searches, seizures of property without charges being proved, intentional lies used to obtain "general warrants" and imposition of taxes in the single digits were sufficient to compel men to pick up arms and shoot.  Having a Redcoat ball removed from you, if you got shot, meant doing it with nothing more than a belt or two of whiskey for anesthetic and a stick for your teeth so you didn't bite your tongue in half as a result of the surgical pain.  There were no antibiotics either, so if you were shot in the gut your odds of evading a slow and horribly-painful death from septic infection approached zero.

Today we have taxes that total ten times the percentage rate over which the Colonists decided to drive the British from this land.  We have seizures of property that are never returned from people never convicted of anything, and our Attorney General and President fully supports this, exactly as did the King of England.

And now we have proof that our own alleged "Justice Department" intentionally swore falsely before a judge to get a secret wiretap warrant against a US Citizen animated by personal animus toward a political candidate, motivated by money spent by his opponent with said motivation stretching all the way to the top of the other political party and its sitting President.

These five individuals all worked for the Attorney General and President Obama.  Exactly what the AG and Obama knew at the time is not yet established in public, but I'm willing to bet there's plenty of evidence, probably sufficient to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, to be found in the classified record which we, as ordinary Americans, are expected to "respect" and "not see."

Let me be clear: This course of action was criminal in that every one of these individuals swore falsely by both omission and commission to a court in order to obtain permission to do an otherwise legally-impermissible thing.  Each and every one of these individuals took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States and obey its laws in the execution of their duties and intentionally violated both for the explicit purpose of destroying the political candidacy of a person they did not wish to win the 2016 election.

Then there is our Congress, which factually knew of this misconduct when it re-authorized Section 702 that allowed this abuse to take place originally.  In other words, Congress, knowing that the FBI and DOJ had unlawfully sworn falsely to a judge on at least four separate occasions in an attempt to disrupt an election, re-authorized the very "law" that they knew was abused without doing anything material to both punish those who abused it and prevent it being so-abused in the future.

There is only one act that would be worse than what these five, and probably dozens more including Hillary and Obama, did -- and that would be to not immediately charge all five with these evident and alleged criminal acts and remove them from office, including most-particularly McCabe who currently stands to collect over $2 million in pension and benefits as he intends to retire and has gone on terminal leave.

But that's in fact what the White House has just decided.

 by tickerguy

In other words President Trump, having been elected despite this unlawful abuse, has decided that instead of prosecuting these unlawful acts he will use the very same power aimed at him for his own corrupt purposes in the future.

This makes Trump personally responsible for all of what came before, as he has explicitly refused to enforce the law, and that is a direct violation of his Presidential Oath of Office.

For what it's worth there is exactly one Congressperson who has taken up this torch -- Paul Gosar.  Sadly, he misappropriates the use of the charge Treason, which simply does not apply (look at the Constitution, Mr. Gosar, along with US Code; treason requires certain very specific conditions and acts, which don't apply.)  Nonetheless his call for prosecution, which he ought to extend to the President himself as he has now refused to remove these people from office and have them indicted and prosecuted, is correct.

The tactics laid out in the Nunes Memo are nothing short of the crap that the KGB and other similar government "hit squads" in various corrupt nations employ on a daily basis.  They have no place in American politics or American jurisprudence.  Any American, and especially any American who happens to sit in an office that writes or enforces laws, including but not limited to our Constitution, who fails to immediately demand that the every person involved in the acts called out in the Nunes Memo be stripped of their office and immediately indicted is violating, on a daily basis, their oath of office and has forfeit through their direct action any claim to authority of said office and additionally has declared The Constitution void.

In short we no longer live in a Representative Republic governed by a Constitution and body of law.  We now live in a thug-led dictatorship where even those who have said thuggery directed against them, once they assume power, intentionally leave said thugs in place and with power for the explicit purpose of using same against their enemies.

The very foundation of this nation no longer exists.  This fact is why the health care industry robs over $3 trillion from Americans every single year despite it being a direct violation of 100+ year old anti-trust law and nobody goes to prison.  This fact is why large banks have robbed the public repeatedly over the last decade and more, have in fact violated their own consent decrees, and not only do they remain in business nobody has gone to prison.  This fact is why large firms violate your privacy, lie about the use they intend to put your personal information to, collect same under false pretense including directly lying about whether such tracking such as your location is in fact "off" and not only do they remain in business nobody has gone to prison.  This fact is why millions of jobs and small businesses have been steamrollered by large companies bribing Congress and otherwise engaging in various forms of outrageous behavior, all of which either is or ought to be illegal and not only do they remain in business nobody has gone to prison.

There is no more fealty to the US Constitution or Bill of Rights.  Nobody in DC or the State Governments will stand and demand that same apply, under penalty of expulsion from said government and indictment, even though that is required under both the Constitution and US Code, never mind said failure being a direct violation of one's oath of office.

America, in short, as claimed by the Founders and allegedly protected by said Constitution, no longer exists.

I came to this conclusion in 2009. Nothing has changed since to convince me otherwise. I'm still waiting for the orange jumpsuit parade and subsequent firing squads that true justice demands. It's all just a pipe dream. We are ALL to blame for this SCAMerica. We created it!

As I stated in the previous post: nothing shall change unless the elites are stampeded to death by the ignorant masses. This actually might occur, because I've never seen in my lifetime such hysteria displayed by the collectivist, swamp-crazy liberals/Marxists..

Calls for a violent uprising against Trump are getting more widespread and more serious by the day. The Dirty Dems wanted to have Trump out of office by now. They thought they'd embarrass him with a government shutdown during the SOTU. The Hollywood swamp freaks thought they'd make a difference by turning the Grammys into a political statement. A Dirty FBI thought ( and still thinks ) that it can bring down Trump. In fact, the many attempts by Trump haters in the Fake News to politically assassinate him have all failed. So now what I see is an attempt to rile up the government loving milk-cow people to stampede. The problem is the stampede might uncontrollably grow and turn back on those who spooked and angered the herd. Yes. A very large and destructive stampede could occur if the economy of the Swamp takes a severe downward turn and affects the Swamp Market ( aka Stock Market)

It is a very sad situation. Nothing lasts forever. The Catholic Church is in decline. Constitutional rule of law is in decline. Have they gone past the point of no return? Probably. Institutions are run by men and women, and that is the weak point. Greed and quest for power win out over virtue and restraint. The younger generations will not even realize what was lost. They are narrowly focused on today and will not even know what hit them. The decline is here and we're just waiting on the fall. It probably will not be a long wait.

We are in the midst of either completely losing our Republic, or restoring it. What is unfolding right now is the beginning of the end. To insist that mass arrests happen right now would be emotionally satisfying but would doom the entire plan to failure. Patience is critical, though difficult! The last 30 years have allowed lawlessness to become entrenched at the highest levels. Clinton has always been a venal thug, using murder, bribery, blackmail to get her way along with many others gladly participating. Bush and 0bama weaponized our government and it needs to be deconstructed carefully for the goal to be achieved. The nunes memo is just the first step.

This is certainly a new low for us.

This kind of corruption happens all over the world, but if we do not act when it becomes public, it's over.

I have no idea why, but I am shocked that none of this is being prosecuted.

Even if Trump and congress turns around and actually does a bunch of good things for the country it will not matter. Without the rule of law and respect for the constitution everything else we do is undermined.

Even economic forces cannot correct this. It doesn't matter if we withhold our work to help the system go through an economic collapse because once we have an "economic recovery" we will come back to this in a very short while.

America is truly dead.

SA might be right in his post. I don't know. But to think there is a likelihood that he's right would first require you to wrap your entire body in tin foil with just a tiny air hole to receive the necessary oxygen while you type such. I certainly hope that Dear Leader and his AG who looks like Granny have some master plan. But it just appears that they are constantly putting band aids on trauma wounds.

Trump would best serve himself and his legacy to declare currently that he will not seek reelection and will instead of campaigning he will spend the next 1000 days draining the swamp and locking up the enemies of our state. Be they Republican or Democrat it doesn't matter. As it is he seems more intent on trying to make himself popular. That isn't going to happen.

Further, he's a good way down the road of explicitly triggering a market crash. Which he will then own.

Remember, he's gotten something like a 30% rise since the election, but that was with ultra-easy money and QE going on worldwide. The latter is done and rates are going up. That would be enough to stop the further advance BUT THEN he and Mnuchin think they can cram a trillion dollar deficit, which will be something on the order of $600 billion of additional supply, up the ass of market buyers for Treasury Debt and not have rates go up!

He's on drugs in that regard.

I still think they'll keep rates low for a little longer. They can't keep them low forever though. He's been such a dumbass to claim credit for the markets as they are in bubblicious territory now. He's not getting the credit for the runup from everyone but he's gonna wear that bitch when it tanks.

Sa - Sorry to see you get banned, as I would like to know how and or why you believe "To insist that mass arrests happen right now would be emotionally satisfying but would doom the entire plan to failure. "

What is the plan?

You see why should I give a **** about the rule of law as it impacts me? Banks are blatantly stealing from us, businesses such as Amazon are raping us, politicians are holding us hostage by the tax code and the police can literally shoot and kill us and be told "Good Job"!!

What is the plan? Let it continue to fester?

Rip the damn bandage off, let the puss and blood and gore pour from the wound, cut off the dead parts and let the healing process begin. The likely hood of the patient dying this way is good, but the patient (America) is not going to get better by pretending it will get better on it's own.

Yes arrest and try everybody involved and let the chips fall where they may, by not doing anything you just make things worse.

Cant argue with any of Karls article or his comments. We are going to get crushed in so many ways. Amazon, The Fed, the medical system are simply the boa constrictors. Problems and problems ahead.

Karl you say it so well. I have worked to stay healthy and minimize my familys risk going forward. Sending my children to Canada and UK to get a cheaper education. No debt. Best of all lost 50 lbs - no carbohydrates. THANKS KARL. I feel like I am 20 years younger.

My two cents says that we were warned with Eisenhower's farewell address. His successor didn't pay attention and that's when the decline started in earnest.

If one looks back, to Wilson (federal reserve and Income Tax 1913) are the first signs of the true beginning of our failure.

IF charges are NOT filed in the end I agree.

A CNN quote about the current administration is NOT a reliable source....not by a long shot...... Surprised you still let them get your blood pressure up.

This operation has 2 more stages before the charges will be brought.

Nunes and Horowitz have both clearly telegraphed this.

They are NOT trying to bring down just few little people and if they jump the gun that is all they will get. A few token pawns. That is NOT a acceptable outcome either. They want to bring down the whole gang. Just like bringing down a gang or mob, you do NOT always go in charging every little
fry rihgt out of the door. Instead you build your case slowly and methodically crossing all your T's and dotting your I's.

They must have a good majority of public support behind them as well as the charges that will need levying are extreme...ie sedition and treason. The case needs to be laid out and made to be understandable for a good percent of our population. People are dumb. . 90+% of folks could NOT even comprehend or even understand how to critically analyze the topics you cover here on the Ticker. Its just so far past most peoples ability. I show folks the Ticker all the time and 90% of the time I get blank stares........

The rot goes all the way to the top. If its NOT destroyed completely, we are finished.

Look, if suddenly sessions started prosecuting folks for treason and sedition without first letting folks know what is going on in a convincing way we would be dealing with an all out shooting war.

The left would explode it would be a mini civil war............That is NOT an acceptable alternative.

So yes....IF charges are NOT filed on a lot of people starting with the MR and MRS ORR, all the way up to Lorretta Lynch and possibly Barry O himself.........I will agree with your sentiment here.

And if no charges are filled. THEN it will be time to open the last box.

It will be time to water the tree of Liberty.

You bring out very good points. We that read the Market Ticker are in the top % of intelligence in this country, and Karl is beyond the intelligence of just about everyone because of his ability to disseminate and break down complex information into factual, logical pieces so that even if you have no knowledge on the subject you can understand. I do not say this to flatter us or him, it is just the truth. To us it all seems logical, but like you said, 90% of the Sheeple out there have no clue and so the case has to be built....
