Trump has now publicly acknowledged that McCabe violated several federal laws, not the least of which is the Hatch Act.  Yet he now proposes to allow McCabe to retire next year, keeping his federal pension and benefits.

Not only that but Congress has that evidence now too -- but note that the House Judiciary Committee is not issuing a single word about the fact that such actions are violations of several federal laws.

What Trump should do is have Sessions immediately indict him - after firing McCabe for cause, which terminates his right to any sort of federal pension or benefit.  If McCabe wants to sue for his pension let him, because that will force into the public record all of the evidence on exactly what he did as he will have to defend the claim that his firing "for cause" wasn't actually for cause.

Good luck with that.

But Trump isn't going to do that.  Instead he's going to let McCabe walk off with your money America.  Money he will steal from you for the rest of his life after having taken actions that, the President has good reason to believe, were felony violations of the law and abuses of his office, effectively using the FBI as a political weapon in a Presidential contest.

That's damn close to a coup, and that it failed doesn't matter.  It's still illegal.

There is nobody who can honestly support President Trump unless he upholds The Rule of Law, and in this instance since he has publicly declared that McCabe used the FBI as a weapon in a political contest he must either dismiss and prosecute him now or he has declared himself exactly equal in his tolerance and support of corruption as are both Hillary Clinton and President Obama.

The only way you stop this BS from happening is to start indicting the criminals. When criminals are tapped on the wrist and let go, they and the rest of their bunch will continue committing crimes with impunity.
Anyone involved in this mess needs to be indicted immediately.

Yep, and yet we (as a collective group of people, that is all Americans) won't insist that it happens.

BEL AIR, LOS ANGELES (KABC) --
A package filled with manure and addressed to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin prompted a check from the bomb squad in Bel Air Saturday.

Authorities said a call came in around 7:30 p.m. regarding a suspicious package labeled to Mnuchin that was left in a neighbor's driveway in the 900 block of Bel Air Road.

The package was also labeled as being from "the American people."

No evacuations were ordered, and the scene was cleared around 9:30 p.m.

I insist that it happen, as I have insisted on various things in the past, but it seems the only way to make anybody listen is to do things that would end up with me in jail and not being able to raise my kids.

After the first one, the rest are free. There are a whole lot of people in gov and law enforcement that don't really understand that concept. Maybe they should give unintended consequences a read.

However, my present circumstances aren't bad enough, yet, to make that an option.

One can only support The Rule of Law if he is not afraid it will, some day, be applied to him, justly or unjustly. Trump and his minions will eventually want to leave office without the next administration coming after them. Judging from the actions/inactions of the DOJ and FBI the past number of years, these institutions cannot be trusted. There also seems to be an understanding that no one in high office will ever be indicted, just like no one in banking ever gets indicted. I consider government fines to be just an effective way of capitalizing on others' criminal behavior. Those in government correctly count on people not appreciating what is being done to them and/or forgetting all about it shortly thereafter.

no the bastard cannot bother to enforce the law. he is too busy with UFO ****. goes to show that he is just another media personality. the media always seems to go on and on about some sensational BS story whenever big stuff is going on in the background. it is almost like they get a call that tells them, write, talk and cover this as we are going to be working on this major change. hate to be conspiratorial, but it always happens this way. this is the mistake that alternative media made, with here being an exception. they should fully cover what really matters behind the hyped stories, but they do not. they end up getting roped into giving their, usually correct and logical, take on the sensationalized story. perhaps this is their angle as they get part of the audience and other attention. you can chart it, any sensational story paralleled a major legislative change that was barely on the radar.

the dangerous part with the current leadership that this UFO thing hints at is a desire to have a really distracted public with a lot of money spending and more to come. hate to say it, but i see war and grand scale events in our future as it is a useful technique to deal with a depression. perhaps this is why he is not pursuing anything like what we discuss here. he wants to be in office relatively unencumbered to restore America's greatness by a massive country wide effort through conflicts, wars and crises. he gives all of the signs. his mentality is that these things will not matter when we are great again. remember our sloppy financial ways were learned and developed in the era of postwar prosperity which he believes in strongly. once we are in a conflict, everyone starts to forget about things and oppress those who do not, like us. lots of young men get to be men, problem people are dealt with i.e. troublesome immigrants and ethnics, jobs abound for the patriotic, every little ner-do-well finds a purpose, the list goes on. this is truly disconcerting.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Oh there's no call required.

I have extremely accurate statistics on all the articles I've ever written. You can see the read counts for the ones that have not rolled off, but of course I have more than I show publicly -- a lot more. I know where the referrals come from (how you find the article), I know how long you spend on it, etc. Every web property has this data collected and most analyze it in some form. I'm no exception.

What I can tell you (and you can see it for yourself) is that an article on the employment report discussing the distortions in it and looking behind the top-line into the details gets some reads and some distribution.

The articles I wrote on Obama's birth certificate, well, they got a lot more traffic.

Ditto for the Moore sex charges and (arguably felonious tampering with "evidence" thereof.)

Therefore in an advertising-funded model (which all media are in some form) the profit-seeking organization is going to write few of the first type of articles and many of the second type. The more successful they become at this the more incentive they have to write more of the second type, and to try to "rebrand" things like that as so-called "news."

The old saying is that "if it bleeds it leads" but the truth is worse than that -- it's actually a simple function of the amount of froth that someone will get whipped into by reading it to the power of the INVERSE of the amount of mental acuity and thought required to understand it.

This is why while the medical scam theft SHOULD be enough to incite a revolution the fact that it requires that one deploy an IQ >80 for more than 15 seconds means it has near-zero economic value to write about such things nor will that revolution be incited, as while there are plenty of Americans with IQs over 80 an effective zero percent of them will use that mental power for more than 15 seconds at a time.

Precisely
But not to worry ... Trump will get caught on a hot mic talking smack on one of the bruthas from the coalition ... and that'll be all she wrote.
He likes running his mouth too much for somebody not to kick on a mic while he's on a rant .... and he's too stupid to know when to STFU.

yes, and it is sad that we continue to devolve as a society where the media leaders feel no need to elevate the public's tastes and interests. there was a time when leaders of industry felt honor bound to behave in certain ways. with the economic power that is possessed, they could force the political class to do just about anything. they already do so, just for what. it has been progressing a long time some say its roots are in the late 19th century and the birth of the modern age with mass immigration.

when the elite lose respect for the masses, they believe that they can do anything to them. i don't like the anything part.

@Wa9jml
It's hard to say.
I've always thought Pence is pretty much joined at the hip to Mitch Daniels and Daniels is joined at the hip to Bush junior.... so who knows?
One thing about Mikey he's still mouthed and would be a much tougher adversary than Twitter boy ....that is if you consider him an adversary.
The best contingency plan that I can recommend at this point in time ... Is to stay lock and load and ready to rock and roll.
