BTW here's a quick intervention idea for an attacker like this: Civilian-style drone and a tear-gas grenade. Fly it into the broken-out window. Unless the gunman has a gasmask he's ****ed immediately, it's non-lethal and has low risk to bystanders, and it's also low-cost ($1k for the drone or thereabouts, which would likely be destroyed)

Here is an interesting piece of information.

SOROS RECON ALERT: On August 14, 2017 Soros Fund Management, LLC placed $42,242,000 of put options on MGM Resorts. Who owns Mandalay Bay? MGM RESORTS. Soros shorted MGM

The scoped rifles were reported to be 308 on CNN. The one in the pic doesn't look to have a bump-fire. The mags in that pic look bigger than 223 but there appears to be mostly 223 brass laying around, but maybe some 308. I think the brass cools fast enough to not burn the carpet much.

Yep. Not to speculate here -the truth will out eventually (I HOPE!)..

But consider how hard the lefty media has tried to equate Trump with Hitler and his supporters as Nazis... Once someone believes that Trump and the right are THAT evil, what wouldn't they do to stop him/them??? In their minds, they are doing the world a favor.

Well let's see what Trump does ( as apposed to what he said during the campaign) at a time like this when your conviction really counts. Trump already down in Puerto Rico promising to completely clear the debt.. Which is no surprise to me. Everybody in my family voted for Trump. I voted not because I thought he'd make America great again, but because I believed he'd do a lot better on Second Amendment issues than Hillary...

Here is the bottom line: I won't let you take my free speech away because someone else cries "fire, fire" when there is none.

I won't let you ban my big truck just because someone else uses big trucks to plow through a crowd.

I have a farm and you can't have my diesel fuel and my fertilizer just because someone else uses it to not grow food but instead to murder.

Finally, keep your ****ing hands off of my guns. I don't care if there's a mass killing every day. I have a right to keep and bear just like I have a right to inhale air without a license.. And if you can't think of a better way to stop these mass killings than to take guns away from a law abiding person like me, well just try and do it and see what happens...

Karl, I posted that graph earlier on facebook and progressive whined that it was flawed because of lack of state specificity.

Regarding the story comment on those Surefire mags, they were developed by SF for the Marine Corps to use in their Infantry Automatic Rifle, which is basically an M-4 with the fire control group modified to allow automatic fire from an open bolt. I do not know if they ever reached widespread use, but in civilian hands they have been proven to be quite unreliable, especially the longer 100 round version that this dweeb used here. The 60 round version works better, but not much better. I have a few of the 60 round version, and mine feed just fine, but do not lock the bolt back on the last round fired.

Magpul makes 60 round drums now that are just as reliable as their 30 and 40 round regular magazines, so we should be thankful that dufus went with subpar equipment.

Also, it isn't a given that dufus self-selected when first confronted, I have read that he didn't do that until right before the breach. He did not shoot at the concert once LEO showed outside his door, though, so there is that.

I'm sourcing a lot of my info from lightfighter.net.

I don't think anyone knows for sure when he actually capped himself but the illusion that he was "in control" was shattered as soon as the cop and security dude showed up in the hall.

These guys aren't dedicated jihadis; those ****ers will die shooting every time and are an entirely different animal. These **********s are sick in the head and think they have somehow wound up with a "halo" around them that gives them the ability and right to deal death. As soon as that gets shattered they're mentally unable to continue their assault and it's over; they usually cap themselves. It's a recurring pattern and is why THE way you stop one of these ****ers is to direct ANY sort or armed resistance at them -- the faster the better, and it doesn't matter if you have superiority or not.

All that matters is that their illusion of control goes out the window as soon as the PROSPECT of rounds coming the other way enters their mind.

SWAT's protocol is ****ed in the head on these guys and gets a LOT of people killed. They're great if the issue is a barricaded ******* with hostages, but not in a situation like this. SWAT is all about superior tactics and being up-armed and armored FIRST, and that takes time during which Sir Nutjob gets to kill more people. No, no and no. One cop with a revolver that immediately shoots back at the person firing will stop these assaults 9 times out of 10 whether he hits anything or not.

Yes - if the bipod restricted the rifle from recoiling it wouldn't spring back from the bumpfire fixture. It would need to flex freely or be on a hard surface with no grippy rubber feet.

Excellent article on gun violence in the Washington Post, here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/.... . None of it will be news to those of us here, but it's remarkable to see it in the MSM. The author was on MSNBC a while ago, too. The article contains this gem:

"I was still anti-gun, at least from the point of view of most gun owners, and I dont want a gun in my home, as I think the risk outweighs the benefits. But I cant endorse policies whose only selling point is that gun owners hate them. "

Every pic is of parts bin frankenguns. The AR is the barbie doll of firearms and can be assembled in so many unsat configurations it is funny.

So yes, his guns look like a joke run by a guy who doesn't know much.

One thing I know from having been around people who could genuinely be described as insane is not too look too deeply for reasons that make sense. They won't.

Exactly.

The only thing I saw in any of the pictures that made sense given what he did was the Pmags.

Regarding swat and time frames.... When I first picked up the scanner alert, the Leo's were on thier way to stairwell landing on 32....once they got their they were waiting for swat...they were also told not to enter the hallway because there was another team coming in from the other end and didn't want a crossfire...I sat there listening to them in that stairwell for at least 5 minutes...waiting and I believe the guy was still firing..they also asked the Leo's if they had a long gun..they did....they were also whispering into their mic's. Once everyone was in place, the feed went dead...how long they sat there after that I don't know. I couldn't understand why the hell they were waiting so long.

Yeah, that's just ****ing stupid.

The pattern on these dickheads is clear: The best and fastest way to stop one of these guys is to direct fire at him SOMEHOW.

It doesn't matter how effective your fire is, it doesn't matter if you actually hit him, what matters is that you smash his glass mirror mental state into a million pieces. You will either distract him (at which point he can't shoot at other civilians) OR he will cap himself, in which case it's over.

Sitting and pulling your pud is exactly WRONG in a situation like this.

I can't believe that there isn't more focus on the SSRIs angle. This is the common thread in almost every one of these horrific events. This is the 500 lb gorilla. I have sent several inquiries to my Rep. (Duncan Hunter) and recommend that you all do the same. It will take a lot to overcome the prescription drug cartel but together we can do it. Let's force an inquiry to get to the bottom of this. SSRIs are linked to almost every recent mass shooting and the press is hiding this by focusing on gun control.

Yep, when that Muzzy went nuts at that gay night club down in Florida the cops sat on their ass for quite a while before they went in. Meanwhile that turd went around shooting wounded people.

Okay, okay...tinfoil alert.

I have a headache from reading and speculation about what the motive was, anti trump, antifa, isis, hope we find out some truth soon. Plane owned by shooter now registered to consultant firm of DOD and has a dead N number, etc.

This was an interesting take...

Start at 4:00...

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zNqxUuyHFz....

Floats the idea that the same company/ people/ cartel that pushed for scanners post 9/11, underwear bomber, etc is pushing for scanners/ detectors in casinos, then universities, then?

Company is OSI. Board member of MGM is an advisor to Homeland Security and proponent of more scanners, detectors, cameras, etc.

4Chan warned people LV was on the radar for the false flag folks on 9/10/17 at 23:59:59 apparently.

If Soros did short MGM, then this, albeit pure rolled aluminum sheets, makes some sense.

Disclaimer: sorry, but there is some serious tin here.

Something stinks about this.

>>Sitting and pulling your pud is exactly WRONG in a situation like this.

As I recall, the first thing told to a nephew before he went out on shift as a patrol officer...every single shift....was that his first duty was to come home alive. He's now a detective, I'm sure that still applies.

If that is true of every department, they're not going to risk any of their own lives before they save anyone else. There are certainly exceptions I'm sure, but still...

Personally I think the shooter is just a democrat who wanted to kill non-democrats. I can't say he's been radicalized, because I don't know a single democrat who still goes by that label that isn't willing to see me stripped of my rights and / or killed because they don't like my beliefs.

However, I don't travel in a large circle, so it may be that I'm not seeing a representative sample of democrat insanity. Just the ones that I know, am related to, know of, hear speak, well, they're all pretty much off the rails.

I think that information being held back directly supports that movement labeled as "Antifa", and the shooter was a deep believer, and the 'authorities' know that if this is released, it'll be Game On the next time there's an Antifa protest. The Cold Civil War goes hot, and there'll be a whole lot of dead people on one side, and quite a few on the other.
