I'll take a guess that some people had been looking for an excuse to sell, and that others, in a form of protest, sold because Trump's tax reforms appear to be more distant. Given the absence of new news, I was really surprised by the overnight decline between Comey's disclosure on Tuesday and yesterday's open.

A Canadian mortgage lender needed an emergency infusion of cash.

Today the Brazillian stock market fell 10% and was halted for 30 minutes.

Just enough "things" are happening around the world to remind me of the lead up to the last two crashes.
