An Argument For Something Rather Uncivil

I'm not one to normally excuse (or more) someone doing this sort of thing, but in this case I am forced by the apparent facts to consider making an exception.

As award-winning journalist Jonathan Katz established in a bombshell chapter of his recent book, The Big Truck That Went By, a base for Nepalese U.N. peacekeepers next to the Artibonite River was the origin of the cholera epidemic that swept through Haiti in October of 2010. There had been no reported cases of cholera in Haiti for a century; now, the disease is endemic, and it is projected to kill as many as 1,000 people a year until it is eradicated, according to Brian Concannon, director of the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti and a lawyer representing Haitian claimants against the U.N. Former president Bill Clinton, the U.N.'s special envoy for Haiti, has admitted that U.N. peacekeepers were responsible for the outbreak. But Katz, the AP's Haiti correspondent in the years after the country's devastating 2010 earthquake, was at the receiving end of a bungled U.N. cover-up of the epidemic's cause. The World Body actively discouraged and even impeded journalists and public health investigators attempting to trace the causes of the pestilence. The U.N. never admitted responsibility, even as a U.N. commissioned-report left little room for doubt (the entire saga is recounted in Katz's chapter, which should be read in full).

Every organization and group makes mistakes.

When that organization or body attempts to intentionally disrupt those who are searching for the truth and then hides behind legal structures that claim immunity for acts that are akin to intentional disregard for basic sanitation known to spread serious disease that causes death, that is in fact homicide by gross negligence.

There are multiple boxes that guard both freedom and justice -- and a just people use them in order.  They are:

  • The soapbox.
  • The ballot box.
  • The jury box.
  • And finally, if all other means of redress are obstructed by those who would or do practice evil, the cartridge box.

If the UN refuses to allow The Jury Box to do its job in a just society then it leaves only one means of redress available to the people who are dying as a consequence of its acts, and has only itself to blame if the people decide to avail themselves of the only remaining means of stopping their felony misconduct.

The UN avers that it exists for the purpose of (among other things) advancing human dignity.  Exactly how dignified is dumping raw sewage into drinking water supplies and spreading disease?  Exactly how dignified is it to send workers into a nation with a communicable disease and then spread it through misconduct drawn from the desire to not spend money?  (It's much cheaper to dump sewage than properly treat it, you see.)

The United States should have expelled this rogue international agency decades ago, and I maintain that we're way behind the curve in terms of doing so.

This is not the first time the UN and its "peacekeepers" have been accused of serious felony.  Allegations of sexual assault and other crimes have been leveled against the UN and its agents for decades, and few if any have been resolved in a form that anyone can argue approaches justice.

But if we continue to refuse to eject these clowns from the United States, say much less continue to fund them, and if we then further permit the UN to hide behind claimed immunities when agents under their auspices spread deadly disease (say much less some of the other more-direct assaults they have been accused of) they, and we, have no right to complain when their distinctive blue helmets have a few additional holes spontaneously appear in them.

Haitians should track down these SOB wherever they are and dispatch them.

Just an example : my uncle was part of the blue helmets back in Kosovo. They were ordered to not shoot anyone, even if they saw them murder or******people... you know... ``no interference in the civil war`` or they would end up in prison for a very long time if not worse.

The UN is freaking disgusting.

Just as a side note, the UN peacekeepers also played a role in the slaughter that took place in Rwanda.

I was part of Task Force Able Sentry in Macedonia in 1996 with my blue helmet. Observe, monitor, and report was the only mission. We did nothing else. We had 60mm mortars and M60s. That was the biggest guns that we were allowed. The mission was a success only because we were Americans. The Serbs never screwed with us. The other reason is that the UN was invited by the Macedonian government so long as the US was part of the UN forces.

I'm hoping in the near future when the money runs out that we will not be able to fund things like the UN and they will fall by the wayside. One can hope.

Some 300 U.N. troops descended on the shanty town at 3 a.m. on July 6, rolling through in tank-like APC's, or armored personnel carriers. Witnesses say they shot up pretty much everything, in some accounts in a battle with armed gang members loyal to the ousted president Jean-Bertrand Aristide. But while eyewitnesses and human rights workers say a minimum of 20 people, including women and children, were gunned down, some through the walls of their shacks, the U.N. says no civilians were harmed.

Population control?
I suspect as the money runs out, this organization and its activities will only gain strength and be given more control. It is the same thing as trying to get our financial course changed before more damage is done; turning the course of handing over more power to the central powers gets more difficult as time goes on.
When the average person expends effort to effect change in one area, 4 more outrages crop up. It seems there are too many balls in the air to respond to. I fear that even aware people are getting overwhelmed into paralysis.

"and it is projected to kill as many as 1,000 people a year until it is eradicated,"

If this is enough for people to start shooting, then the question is: "How many people die each year due to the financial ramifications of QE and deficit spending in our own country?"

I would be willing to bet more than 1000 people.

"The soapbox.
The ballot box.
The jury box.
And finally, if all other means of redress are obstructed by those who would or do practice evil, the cartridge box."

soapbox- covered
ballot box- cannot get past the FSA so questionable as to this being excersized
jury box- this is a joke for the outcomes that we have seen from the judicial branch... Obamacare anyone?

Cartridge box- Are we there yet? and if not now, what is the threshhold at which we cross that line?

"now, the disease is endemic, and it is projected to kill as many as 1,000 people a year until it is eradicated"

Roughly 3,000 Americans have been killed in terrorist attacks since 2000 (average of 250 per year). A "war" we've spent $1+ trillion on and over a decade fighting. Yet, four times as many Haitians are dying from the cholera outbreak.

UN agenda 21; global poverty act; millenium development goals; "climate change" the new religion of BS sustainability--kind of like what George Carlin told us, "it's a big club, and you ain't in it." The greater the exposure of this third-world crime syndicate known as the Useless Nuts that find the light of day, the greater the spread of it's filth and despicability.

the "un" is the antithesis of Self-Reliance and Sovereignty.

Friar_Tuck, blue helmets in the U.S.A. probably won't happen until the gun control agenda is much further along.

Apply the same logic to, let's say, the Iraq war.
Here are the casualty estimates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_....
Even the smallest estimates claim over 60,000 civilian deaths. Other estimates quote 110,000-120,000. That's civilians, not soldiers. Totals come between 600K and 1M.

And, to a civilian who died, it doesn't matter all that much if he died from cholera or as a "collateral damage" or in which way exactly.

Will you apply the cartridge box to the army that did that?
What about Afghan civilians? Serbian civilians? All other civilians around the world?

Didn't the UN WHO suppress the release of a vaccine for Cholera in heavily populated areas as India for the sale of "population control?"

Some persons are claiming the situation in Haiti was done purposefully for the sale of profiteering.

Then we have tribes in Uganda in Africa run from their native lands so the foreign interests can "plant trees" for carbon credits in the global warming scam.

There are many instances where UN troup presence has resulted in unwelcome effects for the nation or local populous they are there to "help". Rape, STDs spread by UN "troups" hiring local prostitutes, disease, etc. Because the troups are basicly mercinaries hired by the UN from impoverished nations' militaries, funds flowing freely to the sourcing national leadership, and the locale where they land being destitute, powerless and vulnerable, abuse is common.

Does this logic apply ONLY to the United Nations and ONLY to acts resulting in death?

Would not the same apply the any People in the employ of any Government, Corporation or Other Institution which commits crimes and then refuses to submit these crimes to prosecution when they are revealed?

Should the TIME elapsed since the commission of a crime be of any matter to the prosecution of the crime?
