A possible explanation for the 2 women being shot that I haven't seen discussed is revenge. Maybe the 2 women had a connection with the "terrorist"?

First day in the Police Academy should be spit day. The new recruits should be lined up and they should be spit on and called racial slurs for an hour and poked with a finger by all the other recruits. Anyone showing signs of stress should be dismissed at that point, as all the bad cops would be weeded out. If they did this, this guy would never have passed and they would not be dealing with him today.

I heard on TV a third person a man was shot by the police at the second pickup truck they thought was the perp's? So would make 3 innocent bystanders the cops have shot going after this guy. They keep this up and they will out do the NYPD cops that shot what 10 people going after that one lone gunman in crowded street last year.

My opinion is right there he had proved himself unsuitable to be an LAPD officer as it showed he lacked control, taking a word to the physical. If he would attack an officer in a cop van loaded with other cops, what would he do to a citizen using a racial slur? It takes a lot of control to be a good cop and in my opinion he disqualifies himself right there.

That said, we'll never truly know. And the situation has been extermely educational.

A few decades ago I knew of a Chicago cop that shot and killed a 19 year old in the back. The cop would constantly harass the teenager.

Good thing there were a number of witnesses that verified the teenager did nothing and was walking away from the cop.

After pleas from residents the cop went to prison and served time. If it was a normal citizen they would have been on death row.

There are good cops but there are a number of mentally unstable cops that like to get some action and bust some heads.

If push comes to shove the cops just start shooting.

We hate you because when one of your buddies ****s up you say NOTHING!

It is not just that, it is the suspended with pay during the investigation which may take over a year for an infraction in which anyone else would be fired on the spot. This with the code of silence "I got your back" bull**** is what irks me.

It all starts with cops not writing traffic tickets on other cops and expands from there. As soon as you succumb to letting an officer go on a ticket, you have fallen into above the law mentality.

The LAPD is full of pussies. They need to come to Cleveland for some training. You can't make this **** up.

Quote:
CLEVELAND, Ohio — City officials said this morning that they will extend their administrative review of police actions in November 2012 that ended with two suspects killed by Cleveland police after high-speed chase into East Cleveland.

The reason: Far more officers were involved in the chase and shooting of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams than initially believed, police and administration officials said today.

<snip>

A total of 115 officers are being interviewed about the chase and shooting, far more than the original 26 city officials said they would interview.
He said today that 63 police cars were involved in the pursuit in some fashion, 51 of those actually chasing the car

No wonder the mayor of Los Angeles wants to remove magazine fed rifles from the population at large.

source:
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-5756....

Some quotes:

Among the measures is one that would outlaw the future sale of semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines. The restriction would prevent quick reloading by requiring bullets to be loaded one at a time.

Lawmakers also want to make some prohibitions apply to current gun owners, not just to people who buy weapons in the future.

Like New York, California also would require background checks for buying ammunition and would add to the list of prohibited weapons.

Those NOLA cops were never charged with murder - the state refused to bring charges. The FedGov had to step in with civil rights charges, and that's what those cops were eventually convicted of.

As for this current situation - those who think cops could just steamroll the American public if they decided to confiscate firearms should pay close attention to this. The LAPD is in total panic mode because of one guy.

I'm perfectly happy to see the current gang-on-gang violence in California. No matter the result, it discredits the pigs, removes a few more from the street, and shows them all to be violent lunatics who are no more, if not far less, trustworthy than the average citizen with a firearm.

"he finds himself choking another officer in a police van over the use of the N word. My opinion is right there he had proved himself unsuitable to be an LAPD officer as it showed he lacked control, taking a word to the physical."

This is after multiple instances where he used no violence and reported misconduct which was officially ignored and where, instead, he was the one blamed. And you forgot to mention this about the van incident: "The sad thing about this incident was that when Detective XXXX from internal affairs investigated this incident only (1) officer (unknown) in the van other than myself had statements constistent with what actually happened. The other six officers all stated they heard nothing and saw nothing."

Yeah, this guy may have been a hothead, but his officer status in the US Navy probably exposed him to an organization where there was ZERO tolerance of racial slurs (there was in my branch of the military) and other more serious misconduct that he found rampant within the LAPD. When he reported it, he was ostracized and that leads us to today and his retaliation against the LAPD.

This incident was apparently the last straw for him. I assume BOR is "Board of Review":

"I ask that all journalist investigating this story submit request for FOIA with the LAPD to gain access to the BOR transcripts which occurred from 10/08 to 2/09. There, you will see that a video was played for the BOR members of Mr. [name removed] who suffers from Schizophrenia and Dementia stating that he was kicked by a female officer. That video evidence supports my claim that [name removed] kicked him twice in the upper body and once in the face.

[Name removed], you are a POS and you lied right to the BOR panel when Randy Quan asked you if you kicked [name removed]. You destroyed my life and name because of your actions. Time is up. The time is now to confess to Chief Beck."

Karl, another great ticker.

I think he is bat **** crazy and is a liberal type personality who is exhibiting their characteristic for violence which is latent, but can be conjured when 'they don't get their way'. In short, this is what a socialist thug looks like. Just my opinion based on facts I have.

HOWEVER, I do think he has called out the LAPD rightly so in his manifesto. When I lived in Santa Monica I would never, ever go into LA City unless I had to. I had zero run ins with the LAPD while I was there and that was a great thing.

It really is amazing to watch their reaction though - we should all see this happen and take notes. The shooting up of the newspaper women, the other truck, shutting down a ski resort and schools, house to house searches, air assets, Sheriffs posses....the full monty and for one guy.

As for TFrs still residing in California...I think Feinstein and Villagrosio are going to go nuts and grab every gun in the state except for bolt actions and revolvers. They are losing a lot of face over this - losing their 'political capital' and they will need to make up for that by exerting power over their fiefdom.

the MSM coverage of this is digusting....they make it seem as if those ladies were just 'unlucky' for being out at 4 AM delivering newspapers (which is a ****ty job) and they get shot and their truck gets turned into swiss cheese. thank Christ they didn't get killed. Watch. Irony of Ironies. Those guys will keep their jobs and probably become Captains in a few years. What we are seeing is the MSM AND the police exhibit nothing but total self serving concern.

Stay safe in SoCal. the LAPD is going to be jumping at shadows until they bag this guy.

Winstonsmith2009,

If I had one employee choking another employee, he would be fired on the spot regardless of why he choked the other employee. There might be an extreme case where I would not, but the use of a racial slur wouldn't be a defensible reason for attacking another employee. I feel I have a duty to protect my other employees from other employees that may be subject to losing it. Should a future incident occur where my employee was to be injured by said hothead employee, as an employer, I would feel responsible should one of my people become injured as a result of my failure to take appropriate action at the first sign he was problematic.

In the same way he should have been fired by the LAPD when he got physical in the van with another officer over the use of the N word. The LAPD coddled him through this N word incident when he should have been fired.

But his recounting of the incident when he was a child and got whacked for hitting a kid calling him the N word would make me think that to this day he would feel justified hitting someone using a racial slur, regardless of whether it was directed at him. In the van incident, there was no indication the N word was even directed at him, and he went off.

If the LAPD had balls to do the right thing, he should have been fired right there and then he would be debating getting physical over a racial slur and not the incident with the other officer using force.

Civilian kicked in the face... Do not have to go further than that, not even to the newspaper deliverers shot up in their truck. But the concern, or fear for the faint hearted, is not law enforcement, it is the low level government that controls them and is no less corrupt than the three branches of federal government.
